How do you change (or at least get rid of) your status?

I've been wondering about this since I changed it back in February. I'd like to use it to put up announcements about my development so that I wouldn't be flooding the forums every time I had a little tiny update to make.

At the menu bar in the top left corner, click your name. In the space that says "whats on your mind" write the new status. Then hit update.
