Migou Posted March 23, 2010 Report Posted March 23, 2010 Some captures of a very nice scenery, X-Plane is running in 1920x1200 @ 60fps Quote
Simmo W Posted March 24, 2010 Report Posted March 24, 2010 Nice pics Migou, the Javvy makes anywhere look cool, but (I think) Damman's Corsica pack looks amazing. Here's an unusual thing- a link to the .org, where I'd posted a video of the same scenery, but I flew a bit lower!http://tiny.cc/iq3g3Your pics have reminded me I need to do some more high speed/altitude exploring, thanks! JBalsa Posted March 25, 2010 Report Posted March 25, 2010 Beautiful shots, Beautiful scenery, Beautiful plane! If you don't mind my asking, what kind of system do you run that allows you to run 1920x1200 at such high resolution, yet maintains 60 frames?-Jason Quote
garrettm30 Posted March 25, 2010 Report Posted March 25, 2010 I don't know what system he has, but I run a system from 2008 with that screen resolution, and that kind of thing is easily possibly. Objects are what really slows down a system. Textures, such as photoreal scenery, are largely a function of how much video memory you have. Quote
Migou Posted March 25, 2010 Author Report Posted March 25, 2010 Many thanks for your comments, my system is not very recent but with quality components and fine overclocking. The specs are :XP-SP3, EVGA Motherboards 680i , Intel Core 2 Duo E8600@4 Ghz, 4 Gigas Memory with FSB@1333 Mhz and a Geforce GTX275, Monitor Dell 24'' and track-IR 4. When flying at a lower altitude over city the FPS can drop to 30 FPS ... But mostly is 60 FPS and X-Plane is tuned with not all parameters to High of cours. But when you compare to FSX is a dream and I think the future for X-Plane is bright Have a good flight 8) Quote

Guest iannik Posted June 30, 2010 Report Posted June 30, 2010 corsica photoreal is my fav scenery with tenerife photoreal scenery.unfortunally airports miss some apron and taxyway and airport objects are usually suspended in the air. Quote
Simmo W Posted June 30, 2010 Report Posted June 30, 2010 yes, I love Corsica too, and having just tried Tenerife, its textures over the rugged scenery makes for excellent low alt, high speed ops in anything fast! Quote
