Flying_pig Posted May 4, 2013 Report Posted May 4, 2013 It's kinda funny to read through it as it's all very outdated information as the website hasn't been edited execpt a few minor notes put in by CERN when they put the website back online to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the web a few days ago.http://info.cern.ch/hypertext/WWW/TheProject.html 1 Quote
sqrt(-1) Posted May 4, 2013 Report Posted May 4, 2013 World's first flightsim... Judging by some of the posts on X-Plane forums, you would think this is what people are still looking at... 3 Quote

Andyrooc Posted July 16, 2013 Report Posted July 16, 2013 The pictures here take me back: http://www.volny.cz/havlikjosef/historyenglish.htm I remember flying this one a lot: http://www.tok2.com/home/avionics/falcon2ibm/index.html Falcon was pretty awesome, and it's a pity it stopped at 4 (which of course I have ) Quote
whraven Posted July 16, 2013 Report Posted July 16, 2013 Strangely enough, I flew it at work, officially. Many tech people used it to test whether a PC was 'IBM Compatible', and FS was better at this than anything else. If the computer would run Flight Simulator, it would run all other IBM PC software. coltsr2 Posted July 16, 2013 Report Posted July 16, 2013 My first sim was Flight sim 5.1..Microsoft......and my first experience of X-plane was at a friends house on XP4!...Today's xp10 is just so amazing and realistic!..its good to keep things in perspective...Makes you wonder if someone in 20-30 years will post similar comparisons of xp10 to xp15!
