I'm looking for a basic Dash-8 400 which is suitable for use in X-Plane 10. I'm not looking for the FlyJSim addon, but something less involved and more hop in and fly, with default basic autopilot services and such - no need for a full FMC and the like - just the basics.

There is a Dash-8 400 I've found over at x-plane.org, but it seems as though it was designed for XP8, and while it might work with XP9, it doesn't want to work for XP10. In the MSFS world, I fly the freeware Dreamwings D8, which is an exceptionally basic platform.

Anyone have any ideas for me? Success here, and I might just be able to give X-Plane a little more of my FSEconomy business...

Cheers!

As I recall, Riviere's DHC8 series (100, 300 and 400) were some pretty sweet freeware planes.  You can download the 400 at the first link, but I have included my search link where you can grab the 100 and 300 variations, as well as some liveries:

They are all V9.7 compatible.

I may be wrong but I think the flyj q400 is lite....   No FMC

Can someone confirm this for me?

I am looking more for an airplane I can jump in, punch a quick GPS destination, a quick vertical speed/altitude hold, and get under way without the need for any full on FMC programming. I'd imagine that for the price, it does contain some semblance of an FMC, but I don't want to assume.

You can register on the forum on the flyjsim site.  but I am 99 percent certain that it does not have a fmc.  Very few planes in X-plane have a FMC.

EDIT...

I just checked the forums No FMC..  it does have a stock xplane FMC but this is a get in and go plane.  What your paying for with this plane is the eye candy and better FDE.
