mraviator Posted November 23, 2012 Report Posted November 23, 2012 I just bought the CRJ-200 to take advantage of the sale today. The test application said I should be able to run it. And it runs just fine. Problem is that it seems to crash the sim a lot, typically as I'm looking around the cockpit in 3D mode to get the engines started (haven't made it in the air yet).Yes, I am running the 32-bit version of 10.20 Beta 3. But other payware have had no issues with that version so far. For now, I'm just curious if others have any issues with CRJ-200 crashing the sim?thanks
Cameron Posted November 23, 2012 Report Posted November 23, 2012 We have been receiving some crash reports with the latest version of the CRJ 1.5.2. If this is happening to you, please contact X-Aviation on the contact form. We will be happy to downgrade you back down a revision down to 1.4.5 (very stable) until these CTD fixes are implemented.
mraviator Posted November 24, 2012 Author Report Posted November 24, 2012 It appears the problem is win.xpl, the plugin. It's always the reason for the crash according to the Windows crash reporting tool. I tried to disable it, but was getting Gizmo problems. This is very frustrating as it appears there is no problem with the aircraft itself. Is there a solution too this?
docromano Posted November 24, 2012 Report Posted November 24, 2012 win.xpl can be any plugin. Check the log.txt to see which plugin is causing this.

All it states is that a specific part of Gizmo's features are being disabled because they are not needed.I am 100% sure that the issue is NOT with Gizmo.Win.xpl's are everywhere in an X-Plane install. That 1.4.5 downgrade will be your best bet for now.
Cameron Posted November 25, 2012 Report Posted November 25, 2012 mraviator has now e-mailed in stating the reversion to 1.4.5 has solved the problem as suggested. This topic is now closed. 1
