edwin
Be warned read the detail & remember if your plugins/addons are not 64 bit they will not work--None of mine do

Jordan P.
I am thinking about getting it but my computer is messed up so whenever I update I have to reinstall so I will wait for the release.
edwin
It has a very diverse effect on Trakir. If opened in 64 bit the connection is made but it cuts out after about 30 seconds. Unfortunately if one opens in the 32 bit option the problem persists.I have several installs on this machine so I can always fly. However if you only have the one I would suggest installing another and trying 64 bit or waiting and following the bug reports Remlap. LR have been pretty smart at cleaning up issues with v10 since its release nearly a year ago now.
Phantom88
Glad to hear it's not just me with TrackIR issue
edwin
Hi Phantom--long time!I've put in a Bug report to LR this morning--Cheers Mate
edwin
For some reason my general fps has rarely exceeded 62 max with all options Maxed out. I have just been getting 95fps with the same settings!--Considering the general word has been that 64 bit would not increase fps I'm chuffed. I've seen a couple of other reports to this effect today.
Jim Kallinen
For cripes sake, they just released an early 64bit beta, not all ironed out yet, and you are making noise about how this and that won`t work. Please, give it a chance.Remember those developers have only just opened 64bit themselves and have yet to recode to 64bit. But if you think you improvements right now, they might notbe there as 64bit gets further long. Be patient, it will all work out in time. edwin
Listen Jim--Maybe you got out of the wrong side of the Cockpit thiis morning but I certainly cant see any complaints, whines or whinging in this Post for a kickstart- Indeed thats a long haul away-Maybe you should wipe your Goggles--you seem to have splashed some mud on them--then read the 'words' again & not between them --in particular the 'touchdown' phrase in #5........Have a G'day Pal-----Ps..'the weathers miserable in London too' Edited November 16, 2012 by edwin

Jim Kallinen
My apologies Edwin, did not mean to rattle your plane. BTW, did you notice that they released another beta ? 10.20b2 is out, run your installer and give it a go.
edwin
Likewise Jim--Really looking forwards to the Trakir fix--I've got so used to the reality it installs for me that flying is just nowhere as pleasant without it--and I can no longer use the Mouse as a hand. edwin
Phantom--Ben Supnik got back about the Trakir issues/Bug report.. They really can't fathom the problem at present but are hard at work on it & will note it in the X-Plane Wiki update sectiion once they've sussed it. Hope it's soon--weird without it alright.Cheers

greggerm
(Tic-tac comment here, but can someone update this thread's title to read "10.20b1" instead of r1? Had me hook, line, and sinker that a "release candidate" had been released. Had to roll back to the beginning of the thread to realize it was an old one.) chris k
Yep - I did the exact same thing greggerm - I then realized the guy posted about Xsquawkbox in an old thread; just like yourself. To Anyone else reading: THERE IS NO 10.20 "R" Candidate YET - Ck. Edited December 15, 2012 by chris k
mike10
As soon as we can get a 64 bit XSB and X-acars I am switching over to 64 bit for all my flying. I tried it out a bit and the performance is better.
