ryancz Posted September 11, 2012 Report Posted September 11, 2012 Nice! The render has the plane looking like a mirror, which keeps distracting me. Quote
Vezirgiannis Posted September 11, 2012 Author Report Posted September 11, 2012 The mirror is something different ha ha. Yes I did had much time to fix it. Quote
Michael_Chang Posted September 11, 2012 Report Posted September 11, 2012 looks good! don't forget though, the gear doors only open about 70 degrees, the larger ones in front open to 90. Also, the fan blades look strangely swirly, even for the GENX/RR1000, might want to take a closer look at that really digging the shiny textures, u think you could incorporate those into x-plane? Quote
Vezirgiannis Posted September 11, 2012 Author Report Posted September 11, 2012 is rendering is not textures, i m not starting yet to design textures!and about twisted engine fan blades i post a photo. i desinging the aircraft very closely and as accurate i can. i using manuals, many photos, and my personal experience. 1 Quote
Peter T. Posted September 11, 2012 Report Posted September 11, 2012 she looks angry XD maybe you stalk her? :D Quote
Michael_Chang Posted September 11, 2012 Report Posted September 11, 2012 ah, i got it, the engine blades don't start their outward twist early enough, the engine blades are angled almost parallel to the plane and then twist like DNA, but the twist isn't starting early enough, also, PLEASE!!! if you find a way to incorporate those reflections as a dynamic feature, your plane would be INCREDIBLE Quote
Vezirgiannis Posted September 12, 2012 Author Report Posted September 12, 2012 I start to modeling the engines and this is my progress for now(I render the model for best results and i use optimizer to keep the model hardware friendly for x-plane) 1 Quote

Michael_Chang Posted September 12, 2012 Report Posted September 12, 2012 blades are looking much better, just remember, that some of us *ahem* me*** have crappy comps, so only model what will be visible Quote

79carboy Posted November 10, 2012 Report Posted November 10, 2012 Still going? Hope it is released soon, Quote
ShadowIGM Posted December 4, 2012 Report Posted December 4, 2012 All the pictures you showed are they really the model? Quote
Ryan M. Posted December 4, 2012 Report Posted December 4, 2012 Instead of doing a 787-8, you should try a 787-9. Like others before have said, there are already some good 787's out there, and a super high-quality freeware one coming. Quote
Michael_Chang Posted December 4, 2012 Report Posted December 4, 2012 But as i've said, i'll also be doing the 787-9, but not until the final exterior configuration is decided upon, remember, the -9 would feature differently placed windows based on where the new Carbon fiber plugs would go, and it'd require slightly larger tires to counteract the length during takeoff, it'd also need a re-designed gear strut and leg to make way for the modified tires. ShadowIGM Posted December 4, 2012 Report Posted December 4, 2012 Will the aircraft be payware or freeware? Quote
Orcair Posted December 4, 2012 Report Posted December 4, 2012 Will the aircraft be payware or freeware?Your on a role today . It will be freeware! At least the was the last I heard. Quote
purpleboy28 Posted January 26, 2013 Report Posted January 26, 2013 I just read the entire thing, and i think its looking great!! I'm still kinda a newbie.. im more into flying than designing.... i don't think i'll learn just yet.. Quote
