GrahamH
Look at those fancy winglets! Is it just me, or do the windows look bigger too.
RojanTrojan
Really love the new 737 MAX, looks like it will go head to head with the A320 NEO. Loved the computer generated graphics of that video too, wonder in the future, when computer technology catches up, we'll have x-plane looking like that? If Ray Tracing technology in desktop graphics cards takes off in a big way, maybe it will. Gosh i'm just salivating at the prospect of that! ktomais
I think it's time Boeing and Airbus create completely new aircraft of this category instead of patching up older designs. It's beautiful yes, but still old. Aircraft designers used to be innovative... Edited May 9, 2012 by ktomais

It's beautiful yes, but still old. Aircraft designers used to be innovative...They still are, it's just that all the innovation is in usability, efficiency and other things not apparent from the outside. The basic form of the airliner is unchanged in some 60 years and is unlikely to change much now. The 737 family has always been elegant and distinctive, traits shared with close relatives, the 707/720 and 727.

They are very conservative with the changes, not entirely their fault but still what they are doing is refinements/improvements not innovation, at least in my opinion. The Concorde for example, now thats innovation (shape, wings, speed etc). Edited May 9, 2012 by ktomais
