carthorse Posted April 18, 2012 Report Posted April 18, 2012 (edited) Hello,I reported what i thought was an anomolie before, where I didn't think the fuel selectors were working. I was experiencing it again, so i documented it below. Notice that all 4 tanks are losing fuel even though both selectors are on either "Main or Aux". Is it possible that x-plane is letting the fuel crossfeed between AUX and Main tanks? Let me know if there is anything else i can document to help investigate this issue.TEST 1: Mains selectedmains selectedfew min later:TEST2 : AUX SELECTEDtest startedfew minutes later: Edited April 18, 2012 by carthorse
Goran_M Posted April 18, 2012 Report Posted April 18, 2012 Very strange.I'll get Theo and Cam to take a look at the code and see what's going on.
carthorse Posted April 20, 2012 Author Report Posted April 20, 2012 Addition info:I have found that when the a/c is first loaded and flown -- selectors are on mains, and have not been moved, it burns only the main tanks. However, if you move the selectors, no matter what tanks i select, it always burns from all 4 tanks.I have experienced a similar behavior before where when u first load an aircraft it defaults to all tanks until you move the selector. Even if the aircraft doesn't have a "both" or "all tanks" position.
Goran_M Posted April 21, 2012 Report Posted April 21, 2012 I've brought this up with Theo and he has looked at the code and knows what the problem is. This has been fixed and will be added to the next update.
Vinny003 Posted March 2, 2014 Report Posted March 2, 2014 Hi, guys!I know it has been almost 2 years now, but I got a question for you, is the fuel selector issue like what carthorse was talking about is fixed now? Thanks! Cheers, Vincent
Goran_M Posted March 3, 2014 Report Posted March 3, 2014 Yes. It has been completely re-coded and is working correctly.
Vinny003 Posted March 3, 2014 Report Posted March 3, 2014 Hi, Goran! That is excellent news! Thanks! Cheers, Vincent
Vinny003 Posted March 4, 2014 Report Posted March 4, 2014 Hi, guys!I noticed something strange, when the main needle on the fuel gauge got to at about 200 gal., the engines stops running and the fuel selector is set to main tanks. Please see attached. Thanks! Cheers, Vincent
eMko Posted March 4, 2014 Report Posted March 4, 2014 What tanks have you selected? I had same issue - problem was "the a**hole in the middle between chair and keyboard" - for both engines I selected the same main tank.
Vinny003 Posted March 4, 2014 Report Posted March 4, 2014 Hi, eMko!The fuel selectors is set to left main & right main, and the main fuel tank level goes to about half way empty then both engines stop running. Cheers, Vincent
