pcartier1960 Posted December 16 Report Posted December 16 Hello Support, I’m attempting to perform an IRS alignment. I’ve started by turning on the avionics power, followed by switching on the inverter. However, after waiting for an extended period, my PFD does not initialize. Could you help me identify if I’ve missed a step or if there’s something I’m overlooking? Thanks! Quote

The attitude gyro alignment process can take a few minutes, but if it's beyond that, I would recommend checking that the circuit breakers are powered. The main switches are as you highlighted avionics and the AC inverter are required to power the gyros. On the lower left pilot's switch panel, you can put the gyro into "fast erect" mode which will spin it up faster to align. The key thing to remember is to turn that off after alignment as the autopilot will not work with the gyro in that mode (it'll refuse to engage). Quote
