woweezowee Posted February 17, 2012 Report Posted February 17, 2012 This is what I see when loading the latest version of the CRJ in the latest version of X-Plane (10.04beta4) on my Mac Pro with 10.6.8: Quote
Cameron Posted February 18, 2012 Report Posted February 18, 2012 This error usually comes up if you have an improper install of updated navdata. Did you do a Navigraph update from what we already provide to you? Quote
woweezowee Posted February 18, 2012 Author Report Posted February 18, 2012 nope. "clean" update of every update that came out with the un- and installer. Quote
Cameron Posted February 18, 2012 Report Posted February 18, 2012 Very odd. What are the contents of: CRJ-200/plugins/CRJAvionics/navdata ? Quote
Cameron Posted February 18, 2012 Report Posted February 18, 2012 Thanks. I'm going to leave this one marked for Philipp. He's currently experiencing an internet blackout, but once his ISP fixes the issue in the neighborhood he'll be back to assist with this. Quote
deemkaa Posted February 21, 2012 Report Posted February 21, 2012 (edited) same problem here (X-Plane 9, fresh install of CRJ-200 1.4.3) and only those files in the navdata folder:Airports.txtATS.txtcycle_info.txtLevelD_procNavaids.txtWaypoints.txt Edited February 21, 2012 by deemkaa Quote
Japo32 Posted February 21, 2012 Report Posted February 21, 2012 Those are the files you have to have. Nothing more. Inside the LevelD_proc you should have lots of xml files that are the Sids and Stars of the airports. Quote
philipp Posted February 25, 2012 Report Posted February 25, 2012 Try cleaning the navdata cache. To do so, go to CRJ-200/plugins/CRJAvionics/cache and delete all the files inside the folder (don't delete the folder itself, please) and see how it goes.Philipp Quote
woweezowee Posted February 28, 2012 Author Report Posted February 28, 2012 Hi Philipp, any other ideas? The Cache-Folder IS empty Quote
philipp Posted February 28, 2012 Report Posted February 28, 2012 Please post your Log.txt.There are some reasons that can trigger this error:-Navdata missing or wrong format-WMM2005.cof file missing in Resources-cache folder missing-something went wrong loading the cache, in this case deleting the cache helps-initialization of the worlddata subsystem failed due to missing datarefs, this happens when you try to load in X-Plane 9.6 (9.65 is minimum)So my advise:-Make sure X-Plane is current and no files missing, by running the X-Plane updater manually-uninstall the CRJ and manually remove any folders it might have left behind (navdata cache is a candidate)-install CRJ, don't touch navdata-check if it works-install navdata update, if desired-check againWhen it doesn't work, post the Log.txt. woweezowee Posted February 28, 2012 Author Report Posted February 28, 2012 (edited) this is basically all that you say: A fresh install (did all the updates with deinstalling the old one and installing the new one) of the CRJ, and 10.04beta just applied this morning. No Navigraph update after default normal install. Here is the log.txt.Log.txt Edited February 28, 2012 by woweezowee Quote
philipp Posted February 28, 2012 Report Posted February 28, 2012 Thanks Marcus,I have an idea what is going wrong - could you temporarily remove my lean_assist plugin and try if the CRJ loads up then?Philipp Quote
woweezowee Posted February 28, 2012 Author Report Posted February 28, 2012 yes, that's it. CRJ loads fine without Lean Assist. Quote
philipp Posted February 28, 2012 Report Posted February 28, 2012 Okay, then I will look into unifying the codebase and publish an update for LeanAssist. Philipp Quote
philipp Posted March 5, 2012 Report Posted March 5, 2012 Markus, would you try the attached mac.xpl as a replacement for your lean_assist mac.xpl? If it works for you I will put it up at the official location.Philippmac.xpl.zip Quote
woweezowee Posted March 5, 2012 Author Report Posted March 5, 2012 will do, but it might be late this evening. Quote
woweezowee Posted March 5, 2012 Author Report Posted March 5, 2012 looking good, that seems to work. Quote
philipp Posted March 5, 2012 Report Posted March 5, 2012 Thanks for testing. This is the officially fixed version, including this fix also for Linux (Windows was not affected):http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?app=downloads&showfile=12206Please re-download also if you took the temporary test version, because the temporary version would not work with the Carenado Bonanza. This one does.Philipp Quote
scott-flyer Posted March 7, 2012 Report Posted March 7, 2012 I'm having the same problem, except on Windows Vista. Does this fix work for Windows, too? Quote
philipp Posted March 7, 2012 Report Posted March 7, 2012 No, the lean_assist compatibility problem only affected Mac and Linux. So your problem must be different. Please check that-your X-Plane is the latest version (earlier than 9.6 will cause this error, too)-you installed new navdata correctly (if unsure, go back to the deafult and try again)-try cleaning the navdata cache as described in post #9Philipp Quote
