This is what I see when loading the latest version of the CRJ in the latest version of X-Plane (10.04beta4) on my Mac Pro with 10.6.8:

This error usually comes up if you have an improper install of updated navdata.

Did you do a Navigraph update from what we already provide to you?

nope. "clean" update of every update that came out with the un- and installer.

same problem here (X-Plane 9, fresh install of CRJ-200 1.4.3) and only those files in the navdata folder:

ATS.txt

cycle_info.txt

LevelD_proc

Navaids.txt

Waypoints.txt

Those are the files you have to have. Nothing more. Inside the LevelD_proc you should have lots of xml files that are the Sids and Stars of the airports.

Try cleaning the navdata cache.

To do so, go to CRJ-200/plugins/CRJAvionics/cache and delete all the files inside the folder (don't delete the folder itself, please) and see how it goes.

Please post your Log.txt.

There are some reasons that can trigger this error:

-Navdata missing or wrong format

-WMM2005.cof file missing in Resources

-cache folder missing

-something went wrong loading the cache, in this case deleting the cache helps

-initialization of the worlddata subsystem failed due to missing datarefs, this happens when you try to load in X-Plane 9.6 (9.65 is minimum)

So my advise:

-Make sure X-Plane is current and no files missing, by running the X-Plane updater manually

-uninstall the CRJ and manually remove any folders it might have left behind (navdata cache is a candidate)

-install CRJ, don't touch navdata

-check if it works

-install navdata update, if desired

-check again

When it doesn't work, post the Log.txt.

this is basically all that you say: A fresh install (did all the updates with deinstalling the old one and installing the new one) of the CRJ, and 10.04beta just applied this morning. No Navigraph update after default normal install. Here is the log.txt.

I have an idea what is going wrong - could you temporarily remove my lean_assist plugin and try if the CRJ loads up then?

yes, that's it. CRJ loads fine without Lean Assist.

Please re-download also if you took the temporary test version, because the temporary version would not work with the Carenado Bonanza. This one does.

No, the lean_assist compatibility problem only affected Mac and Linux. So your problem must be different. Please check that

-your X-Plane is the latest version (earlier than 9.6 will cause this error, too)

-you installed new navdata correctly (if unsure, go back to the deafult and try again)

-try cleaning the navdata cache as described in post #9
