von Posted September 17, 2023 Report Posted September 17, 2023 Hello, KDTW today's weather (last half hour or so) Xplane 12 's default weather. Rain drops on window but not raining outside. Did a couple screenshots (on a second pc) which I could provide if needed.
Litjan Posted September 17, 2023 Report Posted September 17, 2023 This is probably not an IXEG problem - did you try with a default aircraft to compare the results?
von Posted September 17, 2023 Author Report Posted September 17, 2023 Thanks for the reply. I was only testing the new IXEG737 for XP12.
von Posted September 17, 2023 Author Report Posted September 17, 2023 I just checked the default Airbus 300. Same problem. 1
josd777 Posted December 11, 2023 Report Posted December 11, 2023 Small issue. I had the cockpit windows open. Than it started to rain . I saw the rain drops on the fwd and side window . But i saw the raindrops also on the open window with the same amount as the rest of the windows. This window is inside the cockpit so it should stay kind of dry. it is in 12.0.8-rc-3 and the latest ixeg 737
Litjan Posted December 11, 2023 Report Posted December 11, 2023 That is a limitation of X-Plane - try to taxi into an open hangar and then turn on the rain when you are inside
mjrhealth Posted December 11, 2023 Report Posted December 11, 2023 Its an issue that needs addressing by xplane, they all seem to rely upon different parameters, and even in hangers you will get rail, as it xplane doesnt know if surface is inside or outside, unless they come up with a poly taxiway that is inside only that doesnt show rain.

Xplane has his "differences" . It will probably be better as it evaluates. For now this is a small issue.
Litjan Posted December 12, 2023 Report Posted December 12, 2023 I recommend keeping the window closed when it rains, because otherwise your pants will get wet and the flight attendants will look at you with a questioning look when you come out of the cockpit.
