Will give this a try later...went out for some errands and got rear ended by a truck...van is broken, my face took a few stitches...looks like I'll have a few days to sit on pain meds and play with xPlane!...I'll let ya all know if the ipv6 fix does it....sounds likely.... OD1Wish I could fly to run errands...its safer Glad you're okay! Relax some and enjoy the most of your "time off." Quote

And to Simmo W...lmao...my wife may hear of future "accidents" requiring quiet time on the computer uninterupted...too bad I wasnt bright enough to get that sooner...what it takes to knock a screw into place huh? 1 Quote
Simmo W Posted December 1, 2011 Report Posted December 1, 2011 It's alive in xp10!Quick video baking, magnificent bird gentlemen! The lighting is gorgeous, and more importantly, the fps on my pc is perfect at this stage of BETA. 18fps lowest, on takeoff, hdr day. Generally 25 :-) Quote
Cameron Posted December 1, 2011 Author Report Posted December 1, 2011 Hmmmm...it could be my phone, but that lighting looks like V9 version, Simon. When you selected the aircraft in X-Plane did the icon show it as version 10?Great video! Quote
Simmo W Posted December 1, 2011 Report Posted December 1, 2011 What, it'll look better? Looked good to me, although the lighting still looked baked in to me. Is that the mod, proper lights? Not sure, the installer just asked me which directory, not the version. Do u need to pick a v10 acf in the directory? Quote
Cameron Posted December 1, 2011 Author Report Posted December 1, 2011 Simon,If you're installer didn't ask you which version then:A) You installed version 1.2OrB ) You downloaded prior to the 1.3 release.I think your best bet is to go download the update again and run the installer. The latest version will definitely ask you for version 9 or 10!And yes...it's "real" lights inside now. Quote
schrader501 Posted December 1, 2011 Report Posted December 1, 2011 Huh?Ah, sorry about my bad english, it's only a Version 0.9 beta. I should think about downloading a newer language pack! S.(EDVE) Quote
Simmo W Posted December 1, 2011 Report Posted December 1, 2011 Argh. Glump. Can't try it for another day. I downloaded it 24 hrs ago. Oh well, still comes up very well! God, it can't get any better! Quote
schrader501 Posted December 1, 2011 Report Posted December 1, 2011 Ok IPv6 fixed it, miredo doesn't.Ubuntu/Natty IPv6 with manual IPv6 adress (unique local multicast): fd9e:21a7:a92c:2323::1 Prefix: 11, Gateway: fd9e:21a7:a92c:2323::1an everything works fine! Thanks, for this beautiful plane and the supportS.(EDVE) Quote
philipp Posted December 1, 2011 Report Posted December 1, 2011 Simmo, that's definitely not the latest version you are flying there. The new lighting in X-Plane 10 looks way better.Philipp Quote
Simmo W Posted December 1, 2011 Report Posted December 1, 2011 That'll be great then. It's running well in 10, very pleased even before I see those lights. Post more pics ppl. Quote
skipper63 Posted December 1, 2011 Report Posted December 1, 2011 I guess it is possible to use 1.3 in X-Plane 9 and in the 10 Demo. How do I go about installing it in both places? I am on Mac.ThanksPeter Quote

I am on Mac.ThanksPeterJust install two xplane's 9 and 10 and install the plane in both x-planes. 9 version in xplane9 and 10 version in xp10. I believe you shouldn't have any problem with licences... because is the same computer.. but if you have, ask Cameron. Quote

As Javier has stated, you'll need to install two times to ensure ALL of the files make it into the right place for each version. Also be sure to select X-Plane 9 or X-Plane 10 when it asks you which version of X-Plane! Very important! Please don't hesitate to get back to us if you have any issues. We're here to help! 1 Quote
jdgier Posted December 1, 2011 Report Posted December 1, 2011 Hello !I'm using Ubuntu 10.04 and I also had a crash in both versions. I installed Miredo and now I'm flying ! http://packages.ubun...keywords=miredohttps://wiki.ubuntu.com/IPv6Happy flying.Thanx , I am Flying! Quote
Simmo W Posted December 1, 2011 Report Posted December 1, 2011 Simmo, that's definitely not the latest version you are flying there. The new lighting in X-Plane 10 looks way better.PhilippSo I've uninstalled and reinstalled. I sort my downloads by date, so I know I downloaded the the latest one yesterday. It prompted me to select 9 or 10, so I slowly, gingerly picked 10. Installed.I may be picky, but I'm not seeing any more impressive lights than were in the video - I was expecting an 'ooh' moment.I'm out right now, but if u pm me with things to look out for or files that can be verified, I'll check it out when I can. Thanks Quote
philipp Posted December 1, 2011 Report Posted December 1, 2011 you can check two things:What does the aircraft icon say?It must say v.1.3 in the left corner, and X-Plane 10 in the right corner. If the text X-Plane 10 is not on the icon, you don't have the X-Plane 10 version installed. What does the plugin version say? In the Plugin Admin, Plugin Information the CRJAvionics pugin must be v 1.3.0Philipp Quote

Now have to wait till I can try again on my own pc to check Philipp's references.. Quote
Cameron Posted December 2, 2011 Author Report Posted December 2, 2011 Hey, Simon,I've just got off the phone with Supnik after some testing of a new hotpatch we are putting out.Anyhow, as it turns out, these great lighting effects....DO NOT work with HDR on. Ben Supnik is aware of this issue, but does not know when he can get it solved. Quote
philipp Posted December 2, 2011 Report Posted December 2, 2011 When I last checked, they work on Windows with nVidia also with HDR on. On Mac it didn't work. However, given how fast Ben fixed it on Windows (between 10.01r2 and 10.02) I'm sure it won't take long until the effect works on all other platforms.Philipp Quote
Simmo W Posted December 2, 2011 Report Posted December 2, 2011 Thanks guys, so I wasn't going mad or becoming more forgetful. Just good for all to know now. Please, do NOT tell me the overhead panel lighting has also been converted, to cast a yellow glow everywhere.. Quote
