Flight Planning FMC

I am not understanding the FLPN functionality.  After resetting the database I ask for the Simbrief OFP and is shows as loaded.  However when I click on LEGS there is nothing there.  If I click on Sec Flight Plan the information shows up.  I then click Activate and EXEC and I have an operational FP.  Why is this going into the secondary FP - and is that OK?  Never seen that before.

That's how it works. Have you read the FMS Primer document that comes in the aircraft directory?

I did - but my brain has been working overtime on all this stuff - I think that leaked out.  I'll re-read.
