Hueyman Posted August 29, 2011 Report Posted August 29, 2011 Hello, I'm sorry, I don't know if Gizmo is used in this wonder, but Gizmo f**cks everything up in my X-Plane ... I can't change livery without have issues like only seeing two engines, or all white ACF, or other things ..You'll tell me it's because of my CG or CG Drivers, but without Gizmo, all Works Perfectly.. If I want to change livery, my only way is to do it via Plane Maker.. not quick, when I do it the normal way; X-Plane crash , CTD or invisible plane ( only some parts )Please help me, Thanks ;-)Except that, I really spend many happy hours with it ! Cameron Posted August 29, 2011 Report Posted August 29, 2011 Valentin,Yes, Gizmo is utilized here. No, it doesn't do as you assert in terms of its functionality (doesn't come close to it), so while your problem may go away without Gizmo present, there is likely something else you have conflicting with this issue as well. Unfortunately, there's not a whole lot to go off of based on your description here, and as this is the first time we're ever hearing of this I don't believe it's a wide spread issue. If you're willing to help us, we'd love to get involved in this to help you! A great test would be to install X-Plane's demo version as a clean install somewhere on your computer. After that, install ONLY the CRJ (this will install Gizmo as well), and see if the livery switching issue still happens in that instance. Thanks for any info you can help to provide!P.S. Can you please shed info as to what your system hardware specs are? To be very frank, this sounds more like a lower end hardware issue that's getting it's memory pushed to the max rather than a specific issue correlated to Gizmo itself. Quote

Cameron Posted August 29, 2011 Report Posted August 29, 2011 Hi, Valentin,After going over your specs and looking at the screenshots, this is a relatively clear indication of your computer being on the brink of memory "overdose." The aircraft you are loading in mixed with Gizmo and other plugins running globally are chewing up your relatively lower end system. Sometimes we all have to face the fact that we don't have the high end machine anymore (done that twice this year myself already!) and are faced with "dealing with it" or buying a new system. I assume that if you could be afforded the opportunity to purchase a new system you would, but I'm sure there's some reasons which do not need to be explained here as to why you can't or haven't.Unfortunately there doesn't appear to be much I or others can do to help you at the moment. I certainly wish I could say otherwise, however, I am confident in telling you that the moment you are able to upgrade your system and do so, your issues related to this will simply disappear. All the best,Cameron Quote
Hueyman Posted August 29, 2011 Author Report Posted August 29, 2011 Thanks !,It's not that I can't afford a new one but you know, I'm only 16 years old, So I try to don't spend all my pockey money into it, I have the school, the youth life, the guitar the aircraft training on the small 152 etc.. anyway, it's my life, but If one day I could afford a High End machine, Il'l do it right away, to get the best of this CRJ and the incoming X-Plane 10.Thanks for taking time to your customers, long life X-Aviation.Have a nice day. Japo32 Posted August 30, 2011 Report Posted August 30, 2011 Well I believe also your problem comes from memory, but video memory. 250megs is too low to load the ammount of textures 2048 ones. So one little thing you could do is downgrade the quality of the textures. I mean go to rendering options and instead of full, try medium or below that. If the textures are appearing after loading a new livery, then is all about memory. One thing you could do to fly with your favorite livery in high resolution is to copy (please make a backup) over the existing textures with the same name in objects folder. That way instead of loading the default one you would load at first load the one you chose. Quote
