G5 AI Horizon is not aligned correctly

Please help as the G5 AI horizon is not aligned correctly. As can be seen from pic below, the aircraft is perfectly in trim and the original AI (gyro based) is level with the horizon. However, the G5 horizon is not aligned. This makes the G5 impossible to use as when you set it level to the horizon, it results in a descent rate of 300ft/min.

Thank you for the reply. The aircraft in my original posting was the carenado Cessna 177 Cardinal RG. So I then checked the 'out of the box' Cessna 172 provided by Aviation X with the latest G5 install (v2.0). I would expect this aircraft to be correct if it came from the developers behind the G5, but even this has an error - see pic below.

I'm using the G5 to support my Instrument Rating (IR) training in the UK and as things stand I cant use the G5 I paid for as the pitch error is too bad. I think this really needs a patch release asap. Grateful if you could take a look into this.

  • 2 weeks later...

I've flown multiple real life aircraft (152s, PA28s, C182s) all with G5s fitted. I haven't come across any real aircraft flight configuration where horizon as this much misaligned as the simulator G5s. The strange thing is that the vacuum AI on the xplane aircraft are all aligned correctly, so if the G5s are taking a attitude input from xplane, then something else must be wrong. The misalignment is really noticeable so hope it gets resolved soon. Apart from that, the sim G5s are an amazing product and thank you for developing them.
