Gábor Posted January 8, 2022 Report Posted January 8, 2022 Hi, I flew today on FL400 and ATC on vatsim told me that I am above with 200 feet. STD QNH, realistic temp setting off. Others on discord wrote the same. What could be the reason? Thanks.
becaspr Posted January 8, 2022 Report Posted January 8, 2022 Happened to me too. FL370, ATC reported FL372, with STD and realistic temp setting off.
Graeme_77 Posted January 8, 2022 Report Posted January 8, 2022 Will investigate, but Vatsim controllers have apparently become accustomed to aircraft with perfect altimeters, when that just isn't realistic (even without temperature error). ATC should only alert you with +/-300 ft error.
Graeme_77 Posted January 8, 2022 Report Posted January 8, 2022 It's an odd issue as that shouldn't be happening. Are you able to grab a screenshot in cruise flight with the X-Plane altitude data output window showing, and the PFD fully and clearly in the screenshot please?

How to reach this altitude data output?
Graeme_77 Posted January 8, 2022 Report Posted January 8, 2022 Will then show in the top left side of the screen.
