[FIXED v1.1r1] Database Airport Filtering

Hi,

How does the Challenger determine which airports are available in the FMS?

For EGNE, EGNC, EGBE I get a "NOT IN DATA BASE" message. They all exist in the CIFP folder and either have their own apt.dat in Custom Scenery or exist in Global Airports.

The only thing I can see linking them is the lack of ILS.

Edit: Although there are airports without ILS that do show up. I'm not sure what links them.

Thanks

I've been doing some troubleshooting with this today trying to work out that the rules would be and I've discovered I can make airports be "NOT IN DATA BASE" by removing their instrument approach procedures in the navdata.

Does the FMS only show airports that have instrument approach procedures?

Is this a bug or a feature?

Thanks

It's being investigated with the help of the project consultant pilots. If the FMS should show VFR only airports, then I'm sure a solution will be possible. The concern is having a total worldwide set of every little airfield could be less useful, as real aircraft databases are often a smaller subset of the full thing to minimise "clutter".
