rbandz Posted January 8, 2022 Report Posted January 8, 2022 (edited) What are the preferred binds to engage reverse thrust? These usually work for me, however they do not engage reverse on the Challenger. They actually increase engine thrust even though I do not move the throttle axis. Thanks Edited January 8, 2022 by rbandz
SneakyDanish Posted January 8, 2022 Report Posted January 8, 2022 (edited) At what stage of flight doesn't it work? The bindings are correct. But throttles needs to by "unlatched" first, in case you're just testing to see if they work while still on the ground. Edited January 8, 2022 by SneakyDanish
rbandz Posted January 8, 2022 Author Report Posted January 8, 2022 I am just on the apron before take off testing all the controls making sure it is working with my hardware. Engines are on, throttles at idle, and when I active the reverser on my throttle (HC Bravo) I see the reverse lever lift up in the sim, but instead of going into reverse and indicating REV on the gauge, the engine spools up and gives forward thrust. I do not understand what you mean by "unlatched" and perhaps that is where I am messing up. Thanks
rbandz Posted January 8, 2022 Author Report Posted January 8, 2022 Hopefully you can tell, in this picture, the reverse lever is up, activated by command 'hold thrust reverse at max #1' - but you can see the gauges the plane is actually not going into reverse and instead the engine is spooling up with forward thrust.
SneakyDanish Posted January 8, 2022 Report Posted January 8, 2022 (edited) Is your bleed air panel configured correctly? 14th stage bleeds needs to be open. Edited January 8, 2022 by SneakyDanish 1
Featured Comment rbandz Posted January 8, 2022 Author Featured Comment Report Posted January 8, 2022 That was it, my 14 stage on bleed panel was the culprit. Solved, thanks again
