Paul Overtoom Posted March 29, 2021 Report Posted March 29, 2021 While running, the installer seems to work fine. Once it reaches the point where it says it needs to uninstall the older version and I click OK, the installer gives below message, which I cannot make out. Can anyone help?
Paul Overtoom Posted April 1, 2021 Author Report Posted April 1, 2021 Problem solved. It appeared to be caused by the presence of the old version and especially the old uninstaller. Once I had removed the latter the installer proceeded as expected. Curious.

Glad you resolved this Paul. The problem occurs because Apple dropped 32 bit support during the long lifetime of the Saab product.
