Screen flickering when used with xEnviro under Vulkan

Recommended Posts

Hi!

I have the latest version of TBM900, xEnviro and XP11. My GPU driver is also updated (AMD 5800XT).

However, when I load the TBM in Vulkan with xEnviro activated, the whole screen flickers intermittently.

If I disable xEnviro or if I used OpenGL, the flickering disappeared.

And if I change to other aircrafts, this does not happen either.

Does anyone experience the same thing and is there anything I can do?

Thanks!

I believe this is a known issue with AMD cards. Does it persist if xEnviro is disabled?

No, if I disable xEnviro, it goes away. Also, is I run X plan in OpenGl, not in Vulkan, it goes away.

As I suspected. Something in the rendering pipeline, and I have seen this with AMD cards before (Laminar is also aware of it, but till now still hasn't got it resolved).

You can try altering your rendering settings and ensuring HDR is enabled.

I don't know if xEnviro has options to turn cloud shadows off, but that may help too.

Thanks! I will try that out!
