I may have read, somewhere, that one can reset the plane to brand new by deleting a file (probably the preferences file) - but I may be mixing this up with another plane, or even another sim!

Anyway, can you confirm how I can do this with the Cirrus, if I want to?

Thanks.

In the TorqueSim SR22 menu, under Maintenance, you can hit the Replace airframe button.

If you prefer to do it manually by deleting files, the airframe related files are located inside X-Plane 11/Output/SR22/ and are NA_Record.txtNA_State.txt, TN_Record.txt, and TN_State.txt.
