pegruder Posted August 25, 2020 Report Posted August 25, 2020 So, Im running SMP with RWC and ASXP. For the most part they do an excellent job. However, sometimes I run in to issues where its stormy, yet in sim is partly cloudy, typically with rain. I have ASXP set to SMP and RWC for external engine. Do I have something configured wrong? Im assuming because its reports broken clouds? @POS 252134Z 28413KT 9999 -RA FEW045 FEW060 FEW100 BKN250CI 31/19 A2971 RMK ADVANCED INTERPOLATION Quote
sundog Posted August 26, 2020 Report Posted August 26, 2020 That metar does not indicate storms, just light rain with at most "broken" clouds. Sometimes you need to force ASXP and SMP to sync with each other; there's a debug menu in ASXP that lets you immediately publish new data, and SMP has a "force weather reload" menu option you can use. Especially if you have "never change visible weather" enabled in RWC, they can get out of sync in some situations. Also make sure you have ASXP properly configured for use with SMP; this is described in the RWC manual. Quote

I think looking as the ASXP 'conditons' image that makes it look overcast and rain and not actually at the metar. I even went outside and it seemed to match pretty well. Even the XP weather 'image' that gives you the non technical idea of what the weather is going to be actually listed it as stormy which also threw me off. So yea this was a me error and not SMP/AS/RWC ect lol. Quote
