N265AB Posted August 11, 2020 Report Posted August 11, 2020 I'm just wondering what the implications are if I select both of these options. I really the idea of simulating wear and possible failures. I'm just unclear if both features work together in the case of the TBM. Thanks for your help. Quote
Goran_M Posted August 11, 2020 Report Posted August 11, 2020 You can certainly set your own failures in X-Plane if you want to practise procedures. Quote
N265AB Posted August 11, 2020 Author Report Posted August 11, 2020 Ok, thanks. So how is that setting different from the TBM? Is it that the TBM setting produces wear and tear, and therefore if you don't keep up on maintenance you'll have a failure? Quote
Goran_M Posted August 11, 2020 Report Posted August 11, 2020 (edited) The wear and tear we've implemented involves the day to day running of a TBM. The X-Plane failures module is there should you wish to set things like, for example, the engine to fail at a particular time, so you can practise engine out procedures. N265AB Posted August 12, 2020 Author Report Posted August 12, 2020 Great, thanks for the clarification. Your TBM sim is hands down the VERY best, most detailed and realistic aircraft I've flown so far. I'm actually afraid to crash it and hope I never do! Keep up the great work!! 1 Quote
