chucklemuffin Posted July 16, 2020 Report Posted July 16, 2020 Hi I am getting frequent x-plane freezing when using the TBM 900 (purchased a couple of months ago). This aircraft is amazing but it's becoming unusable. I don't get any crashes when using other purchased aircraft. This can happen when first loading the aircraft or during flight. Windows 10 x-plane 11.41 (64 bit), not vulcan I've attached log file. Please help soon, I'm due in Dublin at 1600 ;-) Log.txt Quote
Goran_M Posted July 16, 2020 Report Posted July 16, 2020 Your GPU drivers are actually quite old, and it wouldn't surprise me if this was the case. Please update to the latest drivers. If this doesn't work, delete the contents of your X-Plane/Output/TBM900/state folder with the sim shut down, and then restart. The contents of that folder will rebuild. Please post back results. I tried an update, but it confirmed I had the latest driver. I tried clearing out the state folder, but it still crashed, I've attached new log file and driver details. Regards Log.txt Quote
Goran_M Posted July 16, 2020 Report Posted July 16, 2020 (edited) You need to download them from the nvidia website. The version you have is 442.92...which were released back around February/March. Current drivers are 451.67 The following image is taken from your log. Edited July 16, 2020 by Goran_M Quote

chucklemuffin Posted July 17, 2020 Author Report Posted July 17, 2020 ah! I did not know that, thank you. I've installed nvidia updated driver and the x-plane FPS seems higher and more stable now :-) Thanks for your help. Regards Quote
EGT Posted July 19, 2020 Report Posted July 19, 2020 My drivers were 3 years old...until last week. Drivers are rarely the real problem. More likely is there is an add-on/plug-in creating a problem with the TBM. Quote
Goran_M Posted July 19, 2020 Report Posted July 19, 2020 Old nvidia drivers WILL cause problems with the TBM due to librain. Librain uses features in current OpenGL drivers. If you haven't had any problems, it's very likely you haven't been flying in any rain/icing conditions. Quote

Goran_M Posted July 19, 2020 Report Posted July 19, 2020 Then I have no idea how you managed to run the TBM on years old Nvidia drivers. Saso even commented to people to PLEASE update your GPU drivers when running the TBM, otherwise you will get CTD's or the TBM will simply fail to load. Quote
awagnercs Posted July 20, 2020 Report Posted July 20, 2020 Hi. I´m having the same problems with TBM900. X-plane CTD´s some seconds after loading the aircraft and starting normal procedures to fly. Aircraft version 1.1.12; gizmo beta version (as recommended via email received), GTX 1070 driver version 451.67. Can I get any help? Thanks. Log.txt Quote

Goran_M Posted July 21, 2020 Report Posted July 21, 2020 You have a lot going on here. Can you try an airport with no plugins. A good test airport we like to use is SCIP. Try that airport and see if it crashes again. My guess is, looking from the log file and the crash, that the ground handling plugin is causing issues, so also remove that plugin from the plugins folder and see if that also fixes the problem. Post back results. Quote
awagnercs Posted July 21, 2020 Report Posted July 21, 2020 Ok. I´ll try tomorrow and send you the results. Thanks for your attention. Quote
awagnercs Posted July 21, 2020 Report Posted July 21, 2020 HI. Today I followed your instructions: removed GHD plugin and the "New York Airports XP v2 Volume 1 by Drzewiecki Studios". I finished my last successful flight landing at KJFK and from where I was trying to start a new flight without success. After that, as you suggested, I started a flight at SCIP and everything was fine. So I returned the GHD plugin and it worked fine like before the crashes. Then I started another flight at KJFK default scenery by x-plane, and had no problems too. I think I need to do some more research, but the problem was solved after removing the 3rd part NY scenery. Thanks for your attention and help. Quote
