Torbinator Posted July 3, 2020 Report Posted July 3, 2020 (edited) Hi guys, With v1.31 & latest Gizmo beta (email notification instal 7.2.2020) I've had this a several times now, but not every time. Basically as the APU GEN power comes available, I flip the switches and hear the relay sound effect, but the fans don't always kick in right away. The delay can be a few seconds, but this delay seen here was about 50 seconds: https://clips.twitch.tv/UgliestSuspiciousRaccoonKeepo Edited July 3, 2020 by Torbinator Quote
Litjan Posted July 3, 2020 Report Posted July 3, 2020 (edited) Hmm - that is odd! Lets see if I can reproduce that and we possibly get some more reports. There has been some work on the internal "timer" function of Gizmo, so this may be related... Thanks for the report! Jan Edit: tried a few times with latest Gizmo Beta (20.06.25.0140 on Windows, 11.50b11) and could not reproduce it. I will certainly keep an ear open for it! Edited July 3, 2020 by Litjan Quote

Cool, yes unfortunately it's one of those sporadic events so it might take a few tries to hear it. 1 Quote
Torbinator Posted July 13, 2020 Author Report Posted July 13, 2020 @Litjan & everyone, please keep looking. Today with v1.32 I had the same issue with the delayed avionics fan after hitting the APU GEN switches, only this time it never came on despite waiting 3+ minutes. I ended up applying the turn-around state and the fans sounded normal, then on the next cold n dark it worked ok. However the fan delay issue seems to happen every 3 or so flights. 1 Quote
Litjan Posted July 13, 2020 Report Posted July 13, 2020 Yes, I encourage everyone to check for this as well - it would be nice if we could identify some pattern of hardware/software/add-on combination that triggers this! Cheers, Jan Quote
