M20 Ovation switches not working with hardware

Unlike all of my other aircraft, the M20Ovation switches (lights, master, etc.) don't work with my hardware (e.g, Honeycomb Yoke). Everything seems to be configured properly in my joystick configuration, as it is with all other aircraft, but my hardware won't communicate with the Mooney switches. They only work if you click them in the 3D cockpit. 

Am I missing a setting?

The AFM switches are on custom commands, these can be found through the X-Plane command browser for Keyboard and Joystick commands. All afm commands will be prefaced with "afm"
