matrixca27 Posted April 18, 2020 Report Posted April 18, 2020 Hi, I have just recently downloaded the new version of TBM 900. I have selected the livery and through the TBM 900 plugin tried to create a new Aircraft Registration but not able to. I get the registration screen (that also lets me customize the letters) but when I type the letters in the input box, nothing happens, instead certain keys nvokes an xplane command instead. I have tried to re-install, etc. but not able to figure it out why nothing is being typed in the input field for aircraft registration. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks. Quote
Goran_M Posted April 18, 2020 Report Posted April 18, 2020 Can you record a short video, or take a series of screenshots of what is happening so we can get a clear idea of what is going on? Video would be preferred. Quote
matrixca Posted April 18, 2020 Report Posted April 18, 2020 (edited) Attached is the requested video... As mentioned, when I type in the input box, nothing is being entered... thanks IMG_0514.MOV Edited May 9, 2020 by matrixca Quote
skiselkov Posted April 18, 2020 Report Posted April 18, 2020 Something has to be capturing keyboard input. Can you post your Log.txt from within the simulator please? If you are running plugins, please try uninstalling them (except Gizmo). That window is using stock X-Plane window widget functionality to edit that text field. The field is definitely "enabled" for entry, as evidenced by the blinking cursor. So it must be something else that's "swallowing" your character inputs. Perhaps if your Mac input method is selected to something other than plain English? Quote
matrixca Posted April 18, 2020 Report Posted April 18, 2020 Attaching the log.txt file. In the meantime, I will try removing some of the plugins and see if that helps. Log.txt Quote
matrixca Posted April 18, 2020 Report Posted April 18, 2020 Tried removing most of the plugins but still not working. I am attaching a list of plugins still enabled. Quote
matrixca Posted April 19, 2020 Report Posted April 19, 2020 I removed all the plug-ins except XPLM.framework, XPWidgets.Framework, XPWidgets_64.dll, and Gizmo64, then tried it again - still not working. Quote
Goran_M Posted April 19, 2020 Report Posted April 19, 2020 Not really sure what's causing this, because we've never come across it before. Can you try reinstalling? Quote
skiselkov Posted April 19, 2020 Report Posted April 19, 2020 @matrixca Can you check to make sure your Mac's input method is selected to plain English? I just tested some other input methods and if the characters you are trying to enter are anything other than plain latin or numbers, the text field will not show anything: Quote
matrixca Posted April 19, 2020 Report Posted April 19, 2020 I checked the keyboard source - it is US. Still didn't work, so I uninstalled it, re-downloaded and re-installed a fresh copy. Problem still exists:( . Quote
matrixca Posted April 19, 2020 Report Posted April 19, 2020 Further to my last response, I just noticed that I am having the same problem (keyboard strokes not being recognized) when trying to enter my authentication credentials for Chart Access for Autorouter.aero. Quote
Goran_M Posted April 19, 2020 Report Posted April 19, 2020 We're trying to figure out what's going on. Just bear with us for the time being. It appears this has happened to a few people, but it is not something in the TBM. As soon as we figure out what is happening, we'll post back. Quote
