Frank0928 Posted February 9, 2020 Report Posted February 9, 2020 Hello, For TBM 900, can we save a situation file for later use? (Everything includes GPS plan and navigation details remain.) Thank you. Quote
Goran_M Posted February 9, 2020 Report Posted February 9, 2020 The situation file is saved automatically when you quit the sim. However, if you're mid flight with the engines running, you need to make sure you load the TBM with engines running. It will ask you if you want to start from where you left off. Quote

Does that include flight plan and aircraft situation I am flying? Quote
Goran_M Posted February 9, 2020 Report Posted February 9, 2020 It SHOULD. The flight plan has been known to not co-operate due to it being Laminar's default G1000 map. Quote
Panxua Posted February 24, 2020 Report Posted February 24, 2020 (edited) My experiment about recovering an inflight situation: It's an IFR flight making use of 124thATC. A flight plan is therefore filed in the G1000. I have, according to Goran's tip, checked the box "Start with engine running". When re-starting the flight, first pause the flight. Check that your yoke and pedals are correctly calibrated (if not, the autopilot may disconnect, and recovering the plane at FL 300 may be a problem...) AP must be in HDG mode. Check you radio is on the center frequency, and request filing ot the flight plan. The flight plan starts from the departure airport, but the first leg must be your next turning point. Check on your G1000 that the current leg is activated. And it works ! Also to be noted : Flight recovery works only if you do not have made meanwhile some other flight with the TBM900 in some other location. A solution is to systematically make some backup of the "X-Plane 11\Output\TBM900\state" file when shutting down the sim. Edited February 25, 2020 by Panxua Complement Quote
