mike cudlip Posted December 3, 2019 Report Posted December 3, 2019 Hi Cannot access the menus pages which should be available from the left hand side of the screen, it doesn't appear so cannot access the area where I can adjust the state of the aeroplane eg cold and dark state. Any help please. I'm running xplane 11 on windows 10 Regards Quote
Litjan Posted December 3, 2019 Report Posted December 3, 2019 Hi Mike, are you running multiple monitors? We heard of some problems when the mouse doesn´t detect being on the very left side of the screen because the "left side" is on a different monitor, or X-Plane is run on windowed but borderless mode... Cheers, Jan Quote
mike cudlip Posted December 3, 2019 Author Report Posted December 3, 2019 Hi Litjan Many thanks for the quick reply. Yes i'm running two monitors. I have disconnected one of the monitors to see if this made a difference, unfortunately it did not solve the problem. Regards Quote
Litjan Posted December 3, 2019 Report Posted December 3, 2019 Hmm, that should have solved the problem - did you reboot the computer and tried to run X-Plane in fullscreen mode? Lets see if that helps! Cheers, Jan Quote
mike cudlip Posted December 3, 2019 Author Report Posted December 3, 2019 Hi Jan, Disconnected second screen, re booted computer had full screen mode on. unfortunately it will still not produce a pop out menu on the left, sorry. Is there any other way of accessing this menu? I have purchased many items from X aviation and have never had an issue. I'm lost to know what to do. Kind regards Quote
Litjan Posted December 4, 2019 Report Posted December 4, 2019 (edited) Hi Mike, this is the first time we have encountered this issue without being able to solve it with the above steps :-( I really don´t know what else to suggest, in a "normal" configuration moving the mouse against the left top and right top screen edges should result in the menues popping out. Is the aircraft running normal? DRM registration worked? Are you running any sort of third-party programs that change your mousepointer, Windows desktop, etc? mike cudlip Posted December 4, 2019 Author Report Posted December 4, 2019 Hi Jan Very strange, I have the Aerofoils King air 350 with more or less the same pop out menus from the left and those work fine with my double monitor set up. Everything is standard with the pointer. I get the pop outs from the right and top but not the left for the 737. I cannot think of anything else at the moment, but I cannot use the IXEG without those menus, I have also tried re reinstalling the software Mike Quote
mike cudlip Posted December 4, 2019 Author Report Posted December 4, 2019 Forgot to ask what's DRM registration? Quote
mike cudlip Posted December 4, 2019 Author Report Posted December 4, 2019 As far as I know I cannot do anything with the aircraft, as there is no ground power, and the engines do not appear to be working. Mike Quote
Litjan Posted December 4, 2019 Report Posted December 4, 2019 Hi Mike, it could be that your gizmo plugin is not working - because something went wrong during the installation, like a wrong path specified or such. The default startup state for the 737 would be with engines running - if it starts up looking "dead" that means that you have not installed it correctly. The DRM is the "digital rights management" query where you have to enter your unlocking credentials to register your computer and unlock the plane. Cheers, Jan Quote
mike cudlip Posted December 8, 2019 Author Report Posted December 8, 2019 Hi Jan Thank you very much for your help. The licence had not updated rendering it unusable. All good now so can enjoy the IXEG Kind regars Mike 1 Quote
