Icaro2 Posted August 6, 2019 Report Posted August 6, 2019 Hi, I have some areas with ortho scenery and some areas with default scenery. When in areas with default scenery, my fps is ~40. In the places I have the ortho scenery, fps is fine after loading the plane, but it drops to less than 10 and stays there as soon as I turn on the battery. In all other planes my FPS is actually higher with the ortho scenery. Specs: i5 7300HQ 8GB RAMs GTX 1060 No plugins.
Goran_M Posted August 6, 2019 Report Posted August 6, 2019 RAM is your problem. Big time. I think even the minimum requirement for memory for the sim is 16GB. Ortho will chew through RAM very quickly.

Ortho will chew through RAM very quickly. I figured as much; posted here just to make sure. I had a dimm fail recently hence being on 8GB. Thank you for the quick reply.
Icaro2 Posted August 7, 2019 Author Report Posted August 7, 2019 Put in 32 GB today and all is well, had a very a satisfying flight. Unfortunately i did find one bug: @skiselkov Pressing "CHRT OPT" softkey while a chart is loading/downloading crashes the sim.
