Randy Rocket Posted March 31, 2019 Report Posted March 31, 2019 So here is my story of CTD. This only happens when I load the TBM first. But if I load another aircraft first then while in sim change to TBM it's okay.
Goran_M Posted March 31, 2019 Report Posted March 31, 2019 How much system RAM do you have? Also, can you post a log file?
Randy Rocket Posted March 31, 2019 Author Report Posted March 31, 2019 I have 16GB installed. Log.txt TBM900_Log.txt
Goran_M Posted March 31, 2019 Report Posted March 31, 2019 (edited) I think I see the problem. Windows 7. I know some people might not like upgrading, and we don't tell people to do so, but running the TBM on anything under Windows 10 could be unpredictable. Even though the system specs for X-Plane are Windows 7 or higher. I'll link Saso to this post, as he's the programmer who knows all about this stuff, and he'll give you a more comprehensive response with probably even a way to stop this from happening. skiselkov Posted March 31, 2019 Report Posted March 31, 2019 This looks like some AV software acting up. NtProtectVirtualMemory is an internal NT kernel call and some AV software tends to hook into it to try and access process memory. In most cases that I've seen online, restarting the machine a couple of times helps. Alternatively, you can try disabling the AV software and seeing if that helps.
Randy Rocket Posted March 31, 2019 Author Report Posted March 31, 2019 Noooo, no upgrade. Love Win7! Okay thanks for that but i wonder about what you said about memory, am wondering if AV software is doing something with my RAM. Tried a few more loads with and without AV running but no change. At least i can still make it work after first loading another plane. Andrew
