flyinhawaiian Posted April 1, 2011 Report Posted April 1, 2011 Has anyone tried to tie X-plane and the ipad together as an EFIS or at least a moving map? I see there is an APP via iTunes to link the two, and it looks pretty sweet, but I was wondering if it actually worked, and how well? Also, do developers on here (I'm looking at you LES with the S340) plan on allowing the iPad interface, through this app, to link to the FMS and autopilot systems?Just looking for reviews/data before I commit the $20 for the app. Thanks,Jeff Quote
Oliver Posted April 1, 2011 Report Posted April 1, 2011 I'm using Air Track! Wonderful 10$ App! It's definitely worth it, it includes PFD,MFD, Autopilot, Radios, and FMC! The iPad is definitely one of the most useful tools with X-Plane! Quote
john82088 Posted April 1, 2011 Report Posted April 1, 2011 I use Airtrack also and I could not imagine flying without it.John Quote

flyinhawaiian Posted April 4, 2011 Author Report Posted April 4, 2011 Okay, now we're running into the limits of my computer knowledge. How pre-tel do I connect my iPad to my computer. I am running the internet off a wireless router and have no way of getting a hard-line to the laptop. Halp?Nevermind! Search function on the forums is awesome! This app is sweeeet!! Quote
benny Posted April 7, 2011 Report Posted April 7, 2011 There's also air navigation pro, a really great app, at first it was made for real flying, but the last version added xplane compatibility.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_M0h8cWvu5o Quote
