UH-60 Blackhawk Posted August 21, 2011 Report Posted August 21, 2011 Yeah, it is an amazing chopper. I wish I could use that cockpit enhancement, but I do't have photoshop. It looks great. Quote
sixgun Posted August 21, 2011 Report Posted August 21, 2011 Thank you for the lighting enhancement. It's delightful. I was also pleasantly surprised to find it only took about one minute with GIMP to install it. That was about 15 seconds working time, and 45 seconds patting myself on the back. Thanks again. Quote

sixgun Posted August 29, 2011 Report Posted August 29, 2011 Nicola,If that is well and truly "it," then hearty thanks are in order. Your liveries for, and tweaks to, the BK-117 have been both excellent and thoughtful. Thanks for enriching my X-P experience, and for making my helicopters folder a nicer place to visit. Quote
Nicola_M Posted August 29, 2011 Author Report Posted August 29, 2011 (edited) Thanks SixgunI'm not sure if that is "it" but I'm certainly taking a break, how long for I don't know. Each time I load up xplane I come away from it feeling depressed. Depressed that there are so few good aircraft with 3D cockpits - but an awful lot of dross - and depressed that the number of blank, empty airfields still vastly outnumber those that've been made. For example, there are only about 2-5% of the UK airfields to use in xplane.(I just can't get my head around WED or Blender, so the last day of trawling the tutorials with the intention of making my local airfield was a waste.)Meaning that's why I've spent so long making liveries and so little time in xplane, which isn't supposed to be that way round.I'm just praying XP10 will reignite my interest in xp, with LOTS of airports with scenery, instead of empty runways left blank for the handful of devs there are to populate with buildings.Just going to take a couple of weeks out from doing stuff for xplane, and see how I get on. I know I'm itching to keep creating BK liveries. Edited September 1, 2011 by Nicola_M Quote

Kesomir Posted November 7, 2011 Report Posted November 7, 2011 Having a bad day?Lots of great payware helis out and coming out for x-plane. This sim is really starting to take off. Nicola_M Posted November 7, 2011 Author Report Posted November 7, 2011 (edited) This is the livery of 7504 D-HECA, a 1993 C-1. It had this same livery when it was re-registered D-HOTZ and used in SAR, before being painted white and registered I-BKBS in 2003.Its last registration showed it as G-RESC, one of the East Anglian Air Ambulance fleet. However in February 2011 Sterling Aviation were unable to continue leasing 7504 and another BK117 to EAAA so the contract ceased.7504 is currently for sale in Ohio http://www.aviationb...comp_id=141512.(Bond Air Services have since offered EAAA two Bo-105s instead until they take delivery of one EC135 P2 in December 2011 and an EC135 T2e in July 2012. In December 2013 they will take on an EC145 T2, thus returning to the BK117 lineage).File located in file library here: http://forums.x-pilot.com/index.php/files/category/20-helicopters/ Edited October 24, 2014 by Nicola_M Quote
woweezowee Posted November 7, 2011 Report Posted November 7, 2011 hmmmmm Nicola, I really do share some concerns about XP10. But imho it is too early to judge and everything still "is open". I think the impression that it's "all about scenery" mostly comes from all the discussions now evolving with MSFS users on Avsim and Co., because they - used to OrbX stuff - really have a high focus on this issue. Let's not forget there are some more features: major improvements in the wheather enging, new AI/ATC, some new planes, some old but polished planes. Quote
Nicola_M Posted November 10, 2011 Author Report Posted November 10, 2011 (edited) This is just a basic copy of the G-Jive livery for Brett's Hughes 500D in red, but done with a bit more detail, as the original was a screen photo. This one has been redone from scratch in photoshop. Hopefully a bit more detail.Just place the folder "Red Jive" into xplane/aircraft/helicopters/Hughes 500D/liveries.EDIT: 2325hrs GMT 10Nov11, corrected nose panel, which was too bright.EDIT: 2017hrs GMT 11Nov11 amended folder to include missing paint file.File located in file library here: http://forums.x-pilot.com/index.php/files/category/20-helicopters/ Edited October 24, 2014 by Nicola_M Quote

sixgun Posted November 11, 2011 Report Posted November 11, 2011 Is it possible that Red Jive is missing a folder? Seems like it needs "Hughes_500D_paint.png." Beautiful in the above shot, though. Quote
