Cameron Posted December 13, 2010 Report Posted December 13, 2010 Hi, All,We get frequent requests on RealScenery product progression through contact forms, so I felt compelled to make a post here regarding the status of this project.Reno is complete, and we are happy with the road network, imagery resolution/color, and are currently doing internal download infrastructure tests. As we roll out these new "Enhanced" series of products like Reno, a lot of changes come with it in how we distribute them in the backend. Reno will introduce a brand new downloading application, new delivery infrastructure, and a new installation method to make it less confusing for our customers, and more streamlined to get you from purchased, downloaded, and running in sim in very minimal time. The servers used for the delivery of these RealScenery products are very high-end systems, and the download speeds are fantastic. So, with the above said, be on the lookout for the Reno release very soon! Quote

MannyS Posted December 15, 2010 Report Posted December 15, 2010 What about Northern California? Will it also be released the same time as Reno? Quote
RealScenery Posted December 15, 2010 Report Posted December 15, 2010 Hi Manny,You can expect Oahu, Hawaii and Northern California to follow soon after Reno. Several months and several people have been involved in building both the scenery and the incredible back-end infrastructure to support the new enhanced scenery products. The high-end servers and the new downloading and installation technology are just as impressive as the scenery. Now that this delivery technology is complete, future scenery packages can be released very soon after their completion.I want to thank everyone who has waited so patiently (and some not-so-patiently) for them to be released. Stay tuned to this forum, RealScenery.com, or X-Aviation.com for the announcement of the Reno scenery. Hold your breath! We're really that close now! Eric Quote
