Fuel gauges in LBS

Hello,

Flying yesterday, I noticed that although I set fuel quantity in LBS in the IXEG setting, the fuel gauges read the correct amount of fuel in LBS but KGS is highlighted in the gauges. Is this a bug or a misunderstanding on my part? FMC is correct in LBS also.
