18.5K derate N1 limit

Hello!

When I select 18.5K derate it gives 87.5% N1 limit on sea level and 15c temp. On takeoff the A/T spools the engines up to around 85.1% N1 and stays there (which means ~17k thrust). Should the engines spool up to 87.5% N1 when TO/GA button is pressed?

Yeah, it actually should spool up all the way... I will take a look if it does on my end or if we have a bug here. Thanks for the report,

Still seems to be the case in V1.1 for me - should we re-post it in the bug forum?

Yeah, I had hoped that this would be fixed with another fix I made, but it is still there...I added it to the bug-tracker.

For now you can circumvent this by pulling out the "manual N1" knobs and setting them to the required N1.

Could you please explain how to use manual N1 setting?

On my side if I manually set 75% N1 I finally have 84% N1 after pressing TOGA button.

The trick here is not to ARM the autothrust. You should still press the TOGA button (to get the correct FD-Modes) but advance thrust levers to the required values manually.
