rserpieri Posted January 13, 2017 Report Posted January 13, 2017 Hi guys, First of all congratulations for this amazing simulation of a 737 classic which I really enjoy flying very much...a quick question: is the "dutch roll" phenomenom simulated? Thanks in advance, kind regards, Roberto Inviato dal mio ASUS_Z00AD utilizzando Tapatalk Quote
Litjan Posted January 13, 2017 Report Posted January 13, 2017 We have not placed any code to simulate this - and I have never tested the plane for dutch-roll, so I can´t really say. You may want to test it yourself? If X-Plane simulates it, our 737 should also do it (don´t forget to turn of the yaw-damper). Jan Quote
rserpieri Posted January 13, 2017 Author Report Posted January 13, 2017 Thanks for the answer Jan, I'll give it a try as soon as I can and report back... Regards, Roberto Inviato dal mio ASUS_Z00AD utilizzando Tapatalk Quote
rserpieri Posted January 14, 2017 Author Report Posted January 14, 2017 I have just completed a few flights trying the "dutch roll" effect at different altitudes and speeds but I don't see any difference between flying with or without the yaw damper. I wonder if xplane simulates it. Roberto Inviato dal mio ASUS_Z00AD utilizzando Tapatalk Quote
gumenetka Posted January 30, 2017 Report Posted January 30, 2017 As far as I know, the 737 is not prone to dutch roll. I have flown one of our 737-400s with the yaw damper inoperative and didn't feel any difference. Quote

Have you ever tried it in the real 737 simulator? Kind regards, Roberto Inviato dal mio ASUS_Z00AD utilizzando Tapatalk Quote
gumenetka Posted January 30, 2017 Report Posted January 30, 2017 I have never tried it in the real sim or plane... I may write it down on the list of things to try next sim session. Dutch roll really is not an issue with the 737. That is why they removed the second yaw damper. Quote
