brianparker Posted August 13, 2016 Report Posted August 13, 2016 Hi all, I was enjoying a nice medium haul flight from LGAV to EGLL and had myself very nicely lined up for 27L with 10 NM to go when suddenly my aircraft went dark and as a result I fell out of the sky. Could some kind soul tell an idiot how to switch from the empty wing fuel tanks to the centre one, which still had plenty of fuel - I know it's in the manual but I'm not good at the engineering side of airliners yet and I'd appreciate a pointer. To summarise - Doh! Quote
birdy.dma Posted August 13, 2016 Report Posted August 13, 2016 If you have not enough fuel for your flight with the wings tanks, ad fuel in the center one, and activate all pumps. The center tank will be automatically used first. As it is empty, stop its pumps, Quote
andreasxb Posted August 13, 2016 Report Posted August 13, 2016 Once you lost AC power and have fuel only in the center tank you have lost already. Without AC for the center pumps they can't deliver fuel to either the engines or the APU, so you can't restore AC for those pumps either. This was the subject of another thread already: Quote
