boeingornotgoing Posted July 2, 2016 Report Posted July 2, 2016 (edited) hey guys, I skimmed through the thread titles existing already and need help, sorry if its buried somewhere upon loading the dc3 and or immediately taking off with full thrust, setting up on final etc, i get imminent warning that my engines will shut down if i don't lower throttle, - i have failures turned OFF on the x-plane menu ,- how can i override this issue? thanks Edited July 2, 2016 by boeingornotgoing
Goran_M Posted July 2, 2016 Report Posted July 2, 2016 Do not go full throttle on take off. Full throttle is only meant for higher altitude operations. This is something we found in the DC-3 documentation while we were researching it. Keep your eye on the engine RPM. If you get the warning message, bring back the power until it goes away.
boeingornotgoing Posted July 2, 2016 Author Report Posted July 2, 2016 Thanks. But is there a way to allow full throttle. The plane is awfully slow otherwise
Goran_M Posted July 3, 2016 Report Posted July 3, 2016 Not at low altitude take off. Maybe check your Prop Pitch setting, and make sure that's set to full forward. The further back that goes, the slower the aircraft will go.
