Maybe not a bug...but just some wrong operation on my side.

I'm trying to follow ( step by step ) the Jan's video tutorial N.2 ( Autopilot and Flight Directors ).

Trying to set the FMS I can't get the EXEC button illuminated...so I don't know if the data are correctly used by the FMS.

In the image below you can see the data I put into the CDU (exactly what is into the video tutorial, min 04:06 ). What am I doing wrong?

Thanks a lot for any feedback.

Yep...as reported in Jan's video (he start filling the INIT REF page), I set ZFW, RESERVES and CRZ ALT, after that EXEC should be illuminated ...not on my side

Hi guys,

this was something we changed during development - initially we had the EXEC button light up (just like in the tutorial video), but later we decided that it should only light up when there is a route that can be executed.

In a way the EXEC button is the trigger for the FMS to start "working with the new route". And if you only input PERF data without a route, there is nothing to "work with".

So once a route is activated, changing (or even entering anew) any value on the PERF INIT page will give you an EXECute light, because now a route will be influenced by your changed performance parameter. If you don´t have an active route, you will not get the EXECute light.

I do not remember. But I think it works the way we have it now.
