  1. The original thread I posted this on related to a CTD I had at the exact moment the original thread mentioned having a CTD so it made sense to me to add to it in case it could contribute to finding the issue. Also, because I don't have the log file of the first CTD, I thought it was pointless starting a new thread based on the first failure. Either way, thanks for the consideration.
  2. Hi there. Experienced two CTD's today. Not sure what causing them but the latest one was also on engine shutdown.. Nice two hour flight without issues but just after chopping the fuel, everything freezes and then CTD. The first CTD today was in flight after about an hour in cruise. I was messing around with the lighting panel in the galley so maybe that stressed things out. Not sure. I've included the Log.txt of the latest CTD that occurred with engine shutdown. Don't really have much of an idea of how to interpret all those entries so I apologies if it doesn't have to do with engine shutdown. LogCRASH.txt
  3. And to think I scanned that document twice for errors. My apologies - thanks for the very quick response. I'll give it a shot. Edit: I thought I had to install the Visual Studio thing for one/more of the other products downloaded from X Aviation. So I assumed that could not have been the problem anyways. I'll re-install it and see what happens. Thanks again!
  4. Hi there - I don't have this landing rate plugin that everyone is referring to. And I'm having the same issues. No switches are working. They make a strange sound but won't move. My log.txt included. Log.txt
  5. I'll admit, I let my temper get the better of me earlier. Was looking forward to giving the update a test-fly this morning only to be spending my time trying to find a setting that turns off the white text at the top of the screen (I like taking screenshots other than to report bugs). And then to find out that I have to go back and download/install the stable version to get it away. The cherry on the cake being that, for some reason, my internet decided to take twice as long to download the stable version. Not the way I was hoping to spend my morning. Still think there should be a way to toggle the text string but you are the developers - not me! And now the stable version says my licensing info is not valid.. That I must connect to the internet...... Which I am..........
  6. I'm sorry but that's very obnoxious. VERY distracting. And to say it's just for error reporting does not justify an ugly string of text at the top of the screen. Oh - you can get rid of it, you just have to go back to the slower stable version. At least allow a toggle function, jeez.
  7. Hi so something that I can't seem to get around is entering the V-speeds into the FMC for a second flight. I've landed and shut the engines down and am running on APU power at the gate. I start entering the new flight plan for the next flight and when it comes to the V-speeds section on the Take Off page, the QRH speeds won't input into the V1, VR and V2 sections. I've tried manually inputting them but they don't populate. Is there a "clear flight plan" function I'm missing? I've tried looking for a solution in the manuals and on this forum and there does not seem to be much mention. I realise not many might do more than one flight per session but I tend to fly shorter flights back to back to keep things interesting.
  8. I looked so hard for a button and there it's sticking out like a sore thumb. Got it. Many many thanks
  9. Haha OK. Ya strange thing is I actually saw it work during flight once but only once. But like I said, it's really NO big deal. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't doing something wrong! Just another quick one (I posted this somewhere else but it was drowned out by people complaining about other people) - the Avitab feature: is there a way to actually turn the tablet ON from where it now sits by the window? Or is it just meant as a click-spot to open the Avitab window? As always - immensely thankful for the feedback. I can't stop flying this thing.
  10. Hi, not sure if this is a bug or not. During flight, I noticed (even before the update) the right "GEN DRIVE OIL TEMP C" gauge (just above AC gauge on electrics bus panel) indicates zero. That normal? Not a big deal, just curious. Thanks
  11. Hi guys, can anyone tell me how to turn on the avitab tablet from within the cockpit? I can't find a clickspot that turns it on. Just a way to tilt the tablet.
  12. Thanks for sharing! Gonna try this.
  13. For what it's worth, I too have struggled with TO config warning. To confirm - NO config warning on first take off run. Abort the take off and try again immediately, the config warning sounds. Changed nothing other than have the RTO brakes kick in and spoilers deploy on the abort. Also a problem if I do more than one flight back to back.
  14. Don't mean to drag this topic back up but I find this thread very difficult to follow. Almost seems like an amalgamation of several others that had similar issues. Could someone kindly just sum up the solution here at the end of the thread for those of us only recently acquainted with this product? How does one fix this issue? Am I correct to say that it's just a matter of adding the X Plane 11 folder as an exception in one's anti-virus? If so, I've tried this and still find that modifying routes in the FMC causes things to just freeze. Unless one pauses and it seems like the freeze stops only to resume again once un-paused. Fortunately, the freeze seems to be temporary but as someone mentioned, it's not ideal for online flying.
  15. Turned it off and loaded a new flight. So far the problem seems SOLVED. Thanks for the quick help! Just for others' reference, I'll upload a pic of what the issue looked liked. Thanks again, Jan
