  1. As any x-planer knows, there have been many beta versions in the past, that were full of bugs or would introduce new bugs that weren't in the previous version. Therefore, as long as an x-plane verion is not final, to me, it does not make any sense to test a new airplane in an x-plane beta version for bugs! All this is doing is wasting Javier's time, who is so patient and even tests these "bugs" in beta versions instead of spending that time with his wife and kid! My2cents I would pin a message, that no "bugs" will be looked into, that are found in a beta x-plane version.
  2. Hi, I second that, that night lighting is too bright and needs improvement. Otherwise this is a great plane and a job very well done!
  3. Yeah, that would certainly be the most elegant way to work around the problem.
  4. Hi Cameron and Ben, ok, thanks for the info. At least I do understand now, why it is like that;-) Well, I guess it is cheaper buying another external hard drive, then buying up to date versions of Filemaker and Adobe Illustrator. I hope that will not slow down the sim, when using firewire 800? Anybody have experience on a set up like that running x-plane 10? Cheers Peter
  5. Hi, I just got a mail from X-Aviation that 1.5.3 with 64 Bit support is still in the makings and that there probably will be no 10.6.8 support. At the org, they already seem to be distributing that verion. Philip was looking fot testers for 10.7 and 10.8 only. Could you guys please calrify what the deal is with OSX support in 64 bit? I am, like a few others, still on 10.6.8, since I need power pc support for two programs, that I need for work. If 10.6 will not be supported, then I need to explore some solutions to run X-Plane on 10.8 via an external hard drive, which of course would not be my favored solution, having to reboot every time I want to fly the CRJ. Thanx Peter
  6. Great and seems to work just fine under 9.7 for me. Two things though: 1. FMC popup graphics look sort of chopped at the bottom. Was not like that in 1.4.5 2. Loading fuel over the FMC is a great, but a short manual on how to use it should be included as well. Also, if we load the fuel over the FMC, we still have to go into the X-Plane menue for the load. Thus. it would be great to be able to do both in the FMC, but that would also require to be able to see the total weight displayed. Just a thought for the future. This is only 9.7 version!
  7. Short Feedback: Same flight and route again and selecting approach rwy, star and transition seemed to work fine with version 1.4.3.
  8. Hi, the few times I ever had a problem with the CRJ is when chosing SID, STAR or transitions. That results in a CTD. Happened to me about 4 or 5 times since the CRJ came out, which is not bad at all! Yesterday I had another CTD while chosing a transition. That was still in 1.4.2 and I just installed 1.4.3 to test the same route again today. Since the order of picking STARs, SIDs, etc. seems to also have an impact on the CTD as was stated in another thread, I would suggest that you give us a brief description on how to do the sequence properly. I honestly have to say, that I am sometimes not sure, if I have to chose a transition and a Star oder just a transition, if I have to first chose the transition or Star and then the runway, etc.... My order right now is the following: 1. Enter route 2. Chose departure runway 3. Chose SID 4. Chose arrival runway 5. Chose Star Further, if there is a transition available, a Star should not be chosen, since the transition replaces the Star so to speak? I think it would be helpfuk not only for me to clarify that. Thanx Peter
  9. Hi, I think it would help, if the frames artwork was only half the thickness of what it is now. I tried to do that myself in photoshop, but had to realise, that the frames have to be exactly that size for the information to be displyed correctly. I then cut off half and tried to use an alpha channel for transparency, but that wouldn't work. So, I would love frames, which are only half as thick;-) Cheers Peter
  10. Hi, I think those N1 numbers according to temperature are not really working properly yet. If I use them, I do have the same problems that you just described. I set my N1 limit for take off to around 95-96,5% and basically use that to climb up to my flight level. I know that these settings are probably too high, but a climbing time of 30+ minutes to FL330 or 340 also does not seem correct either. During cruise, depending on winds I have the N1 set at anything between 88 to around 93% to be able to cruise at mach 0.74-76. The fuel burn during climb is too high also. On short flights for my VA, my fuel burn is always way higher than the briefing, which is fairly acurate. On flights over 2 hours, the fuel burn is much closer to what the briefing says.
  11. I put them in there, because I figure that I will not have SID and STARs otherwise.
Usually I say never change a running system. Thanx
  13. Hi Philipp, is it not possible to run two different versions of the crj in two X-Plane installations? I installed 1.4.1 in X-Plane 10 to test the changes. Now I wanted to do a flight in X-Plane 9 with the old 1.3 version still installed there and I am not able to flip the battery switch. Big bummer fo me, because I had a flight booked and can't start the f.... plane;-)) I had 1.3 in X-Plane 9 and 10 for a while and it worked fine. Am I correct, that the new airac data from navigraph go into the plugin->navdata folder now? You should document these changes in a 1.4 change log. They only go up to 1.3. Responsivness of the CDU buttons is great now. Gruß Peter
  14. It seems, that the nav data has moved into the plugins folder. If you go to: Aircrafts->CRJ200->plugins->CRJAvionics->navdata the file structure found here is identical to the one found in the vasFMC_native_1201 package. So back up that folder (i do that by zipping its content right where it is) and put the 1201 data in there and you should be fine. For the other problem, I don't know.
  15. Hi, since I installed version 1.4.1 in my X-Plane 10 Folder, I can't use version 1.3 in my X-Plane 9 installation any more. The switches for battery just won't flip. What is the problem here? I had version 1.3 running fine in X-Plane 9 and 10 before. I wanted to test version 1.41 first, before using it in X-Plane 9. Is there a work around? Would be appreciated! Peter
