File Name: CYYZ Toronto Pearson Airport AI/ATC Routes File Submitter: bkeith2 File Submitted: 07 Apr 2014 File Category: Misc Scenery Resources X-Plane Version(s): X-Plane 10 Using the great CYYZ scenery from Chris K and the ISDG; I went through and added all the taxi routes for those who use X-plane's ATC system. Just unzip and replace the included apt.dat file in your CYYZ folder under Earth nav data. This is for X-Plane 10 only. The scenery itself has not changed and I do not claim it as my own, as it is not. Brendan Keith Click here to download this file

In X-Plane I see the following problem: - Importing the apt.dat for EHLE shows invisible runways for EHLE - Flying X-Plane shows the same problem - Making a new taxiway will be visible - The problem differs slightly while using the default mesh or the HD Mesh. See also the attached files. It looks like the default and HD Mesh does not connect very good with the (elevation?) data in the apt.dat I have seen similar problems als with a freeware addon of KBOS. My questions: - What is this problem? - Is this a bug in X-Plane? - How do I get rid off this problem (I prefer a method without rebuilding all the taxiways)

Hi folks, I am putting some new scenery packages together. Mostly just small regional airports. Plus, I want to redo my EIWF one that I have over at x-plane.org (soon to be posted here instead) but having an issue that I find confusing. I have World Editor (WED) and Overlay Editor, which I use to create sceneries. However, I want to be able to perfectly align and shape taxiways etc in WED but unable to. If I open WED, and click Preferences, I get a dialog that says WED has no preferences. I want to get the same as the attached image but missing part 2 and also when trying to import a background image for guidance it sends the runways half way around the world. Any ideas?

Hi, I am trying to bring a GEOTIFF into WED but I'm having an issue. When the image is placed it just shows as a blank image. I created the GEOTIFF using Global Mapper. I set control points in Google Earth, saved the image, brought it into Global Mapper, Rectified the image, and exported it as a GEOTIFF. But when I tell WED to open it, WED only displays a blank image. I tried exporting it as a kmz to make sure my control points were accurate and everything lined up as it should, so I know my control is accurate. I have tried using other formats with the same result. I'm using wed_win_110r1 on Windows 7 64-bit if that helps. I'll attach my tiff if anyone else wants to see if it loads right for them scrf-2.tiff

Chris Serio has posted some video tutorials (screencasts) for creating functional ATC pathways on the ground while using WED1.2b1. The series is worth watching if you are spending any time editing airports in WED. I just laid down a network of taxiway paths in my project airport quickly and easily knowing how it's done and what the fields mean. http://developer.x-p...rldeditor-v1-2/ Enjoy! -Greg

Hi Everyone, I'm currently working on a scenery for EHEH, Eindhoven Airport in the Netherlands. This is my first project and currently it drives me crazy.... I started off with the default airport layout as provided by X-Plane (10.10rc3) and decided to use this as a template and enhance from there. This worked perfectly although I had to restart clean a few times. Although it is quite a steep learning curve I gained experience and made some nice progress. I discovered OE as well which made it rather comfortable to place facade buildings and place pre-defined objects from the libraries. So far so good until WED suddenly stopped to process polygones. I made some Apron markings (like MAXSPAN38M) using the taxiway parts from the opensceneryx library in WED and they perfectly showed up in X-Plane. Somewhat later I used the same polygone parts and spend a few hours on making taxiway stand markings to discover that these were not showing up in X-Plane at all. WED does show them but I cannot get them visible in X-Plane. Whatever I try no polygone that I place in this scenery will show up in X-Plane anymore. If you look at the pictures I made a stand marking (B5) using the opensceneryx elements and nesides it a square made using the normal taxiway tool. The latter one does show up in X-plane the polygone want. I'm struggling with this problem for a week now and cannot find a solution. I made these stand markings in OE now but it is not as comfortable and precise as WED in placement. I did a test with another (default) field by placing the same kind of marking on the tarmac, load it up in X-plane and it was OK. What could I have done wrong that caused this nasty issue??? Is there anybody out there who has some suggestions to solve this? regards, Lizz
