  1. KIAD - Washington Dulles International Airport View File INTRODUCTION: Welcome to the busiest airport in the mid-atlantic, outside the New York area! Because this is my local, major airport, I found the need for a detailed scenery package for this airport. I believe I have pulled that off! The iconic main terminal and classic control tower, designed by Eero Saarinen, are well-represented in this package, I custom-made the models using SketchUp Make and a lot of patience. Another Dulles Airport Landmark is the National Air and Space Museum at the Udvar-Hazy Center, again, this building was custom built using SketchUp Make, and even more patience. I used Overlay Editor heavily in the creation of this package, along with World Editor (To work on the detailed parts; ATC, Ramp Starts, etc.). I made a real effort to keep this package conservative in its detail, to save frame rate, and it seems to have really improved the overall experience–for me, at least–over version 2. I hope you enjoy all of the many hours of agony and hard work I went through to provide this beautiful creation! VIDEOS: Dulles IAD v3.0 Overview Dulles IAD v3.0 Trailer REQUIREMENTS: OpenSceneryX FF_Library FAIB_Aircraft MisterX_Library AutoGate Plugin by Marginal (Optional) INSTALLATION: Always check the Readme.rtf file before installing. Simply Copy and Paste (After Unzipping) "Dulles IAD vX.X" into your X-Plane 10/Custom Scenery folder. Be sure all of the required libraries are installed, or else you'll get an error message saying "The scenery may not look correct!" Welcome to the busiest airport in the mid-atlantic, outside the New York area! I made this airport using nothing but OpenSceneryX, Google Sketchup, and the objects included with X-Plane 10. There aren't any, apart from Ted's, Dulles' out for X-Plane. You can convert from FSX scenery, but, that's a little too much for those of us who aren't into the developing thing. This scenery package is made using OverlayEditor and WED, all objects are accurately placed using satellite images by ESRI, included with OverlayEditor. ENJOY! Many updates are on the way. Use HDR Rendering for best results. I strongly recommend RealTerra Haze. OpenSceneryX is required! Autogate Plugin is REQUIRED, and can be found by google searching it. Check out this screenshot montage: http://youtu.be/puxTFo4GPCc?list=UUTu7u0uFdd51ANc3a8a0Qcw Video Overview: http://youtu.be/24yi5crI1kY

Please forgive me if I made a mistake somewhere, and dont hesitate to leave a comment or shoot me a PM so that I can fix it! For now though this airport is 100% done and I do not have any plans of expansion or updates. Happy Landings! It's an small GA airport with no buildings and one runway. X-Plane simulates it with an extra runway, 19/01, that in actuality is a road. In the "KFFA First Flight Airport _NORMAL" file the extra runway has cars and trucks on it like an road and in the "KFFA First Flight _FR" file the runway has taxiways connecting to the normal runway and is easily accessible with an Piper Cub or an Stinson L5. First operated in 1941 the airport is in central Washington state, and is named after Clyde Pangborn who was the first pilot to cross the Pacific non-stop in 1931. Today the airport has scheduled flights operated by Horizon Air on behalf of Alaska Airlines, although the main usage is by GA and Business jet users. The airport seems to have undergone some changes to the taxiway designations which I have incorporated(please feel free to advise if incorrect). The scenery requires:- OpenSceneryX RU Scenery It includes the excellent weathered shoulder edges for taxiways and runways from andyw248 http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?app=downloads&showfile=18192(these files are included in the package) The screenshots also show the following enhancements Runway textures from FlyJSim http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?app=downloads&showfile=16270 Replacement day/night lighting from chris k http://forums.x-pilot.com/index.php/files/file/435-replacement-day-and-night-lighting-lightstxt-for-x-plane-1020/ Wide taxiway marking library replacement also from chris k http://forums.x-pilot.com/index.php/files/file/406-wide-taxiway-markings-library-replacement/ These three files will need to be downloaded from these links to take advantage of them. C77 Poplar Grove Photoreal Version 1.0, Jan 04, 2013 By: Chris K and the ISDG Group This scenery was made in request from a user named Becky Lynn, who is a new XP10 user (but not new to flying!) who was very surprised that nobody had taken this cute fly-in / live-in residential airport and updated it's taxiways since the beginning of time. I was about to walk through a quick learn tutorial with WED, but since this was a one-off, I decided to quickly update the taxiways myself. Since I had WED open anyways, I also decided to give it the "Photo Underlay" Treatment and spruce it up with some standard XP10 library objects at the same time. (Hangars, FBOs, etc.) Took about 2 hours to get done. Nothing fancy. Enjoy! ______________________________________ INSTALLATION: Copy to your /Custom Scenery/ Folder. ______________________________________ IMAGERY CREDIT: Orthophotos courtesy of the United States Geological Survey (USGS) The dataset uses the 30cm/pixel USGS HiRes Orthoimagery This Imagery is in the Public Domain as per: http://cumulus.cr.us...listofortho.php Copyrights and Credits USGS-authored or produced data and information are considered to be in the U.S. public domain. Walla Walla Regional Airport Washington State This is my first US airport using the XP10 using WED and lego bricks. The only scheduled ops advertised are by Dash8 Q400 of Horizon Air on behalf of Alaska Airlines to Seattle. I have decided to start populating airports in this part of the US,(my previous couple of efforts being in the UK, but can't stand the US style autogen buildings when flying in Europe, so now flying in the US). Obviously there are a good number of files in the SE corner of the US, so that's why I am concentrating my efforts in this area. Requires X-Plane 10.10 beta1 or later and OpenSceneryX
