  3. Alliance Airways new program that allows Pilots from other Virtual Airlines to transfer 50% of their hours has been a huge success says Barry Pearl Chief Flight Instructor for Alliance. Pilots with a lot of hours do not want to start all over and this gives them a chance to transfer eligible hours. Alliance Airways is the only X-Plane only Airline that has a full time Flight School where pilots can go for one on one training with a actual Flight Instructor. This has been a real changer for Alliance as pilots with little experience can come to our Flight school and start to learn the basic procedures of learning to fly. Check us out at Alliance Virtual Airways at http://alliance-airways.net
  4. Please patch your sites : QUOTE :" Hi Carlos Garcia, It's come to my attention that there is a nasty exploit for phpVMS that is out in the wild, and sites are getting hit with it. The exploit is not actually in phpVMS, but in a 3rd party library that's used for the charts. It allows the attacker(s) to write files to your server, and spam out from it. Currently the way to fix it is simple: delete the file in core/lib/php-ofc-library/ofc_image_upload.php. Also please make sure that you've deleted any suspicious files, some names include kill.php, contact.html, etc. If you have a tmp-upload-images in your core/lib folder, your server has been compromised. Please visit this thread and take a look at the possible files that have been uploaded. http://forum.phpvms.net/topic/16288-notice-open-flash-chart-exploit/ I've removed the above file from the download links from phpVMS Thanks, and sorry for any troubles! 5. Dear pilots, Let me introduce you to a new VA in the X-plane world: European Virtual Airlines (EVA) EVA is a European-based VA, open for all simulators and networks. That is to say, you can fly for EVA with X-plane, either on Vatsim, IVAO or with xAcars, an acars client available for Mac and Windows. With a fleet of 9 different aircraft we serve over 80 destinations: mainly in Europe but also in America, north Africa and the Middle East. There are over 400 scheduled flights to choose from - and if that's not enough you are free to fly a charter flight between any of our airports with any of our aircraft. Our website has several tools to support your flying, like a pilot brief with fuel calculator, route finder etc, and we have a fully integrated forum with chat facility, where you can meet fellow pilots: airmen from X-plane, MSFS and flightgear can come together and exchange experiences. Joining EVA doesn't require an entry exam, but once you join we have a number of (voluntary) exams/quizzes available. These are quick, fun and widen your aviation knowledge. We also have a vast amount of awards that you can earn by passing these exams, flying to difficult airports etc. etc By flying and gaining awards you climb up our 9-tier career ladder. Will you make it to the elite of Senior Captains? Come and find out at the European Virtual Airlineswebsite!
  6. Trans-Siberia Propilot Event (AN-148) Euroharmony VA are now running a new Propilot event (windows x-planers only I'm afraid - requires our flight logger and XPUIPC). http://www.fly-euroh...vents/details/2 There are no rank restrictions for flying in Propilot events so all member pilots can participate! Potential new members simply need to fly the initial training flight from Manchester Airport (EGCC) to Birmingham (EGBB) using either our B1900d, SU-80 or Twin Otter and are then eligible to sign up and participate in the event. Difficulty Easy/Medium - Aircraft is small, responsive and easy to fly both by hand and on autopilot, is fairly powerful and capable of landing at poorly equipped airports. The AN-148 is equipped with modern flight and navigation equipment, multifunctional displays and a fly-by-wire system. The weather will be challenging as the cold, dark winter descends on a snow swept Siberia. Description The Trans Siberian Railway is the longest railway in the world, connecting Moscow with the Russian Far East and the Sea of Japan. You will be flying a route that closely follows the railway as it weaves its way across Siberia in a modern Ukrainian aircraft the Antonov AN-148. Euroharmony has acquired a number of these aircraft for Microsoft Flight Simulator 9 and X as well as X-Plane 9 and 10, which are located at Stockholm airport, ready for the interesting journey ahead across snow swept Siberia during the cold winter months. The AN-148 is a high reliability aircraft with built in auto-diagnosis system and auxiliary power unit. Combined with the high wing configuration and entrance stairs that enable boarding and deboarding the plane without extra ground equipment, the AN-148 is capable of use at poorly equipped airfields. There are 12 legs to this event, each of which must be flown within a 3 week window. Leg start dates are offset by 1 week. Successful completion earns you the Event badge: Aircraft Links available: http://www.fly-euroh...1.msg51530.html
