Just meant that anyone selling planes exclusively at the concentration camp known as the org won't make this list. -

Thanks I'll add to list, but I won't be adding anything to the list that the is exclusive to the cesspool of tyranny. -

NORCAL Scenery Preview - January 16th, 2013
Sgt R Lee Ermey replied to Cameron's topic in Northern California
Awesome video. This is loooking reeeeaallly good. Any eta yet? -
Gave it a run and it ran really bad at startup so I turned everything to minimum and ran it back up setting by setting and now its all good. The autogen really needs alot off work for sure.

What scenery is that?looks awesome

The aircraft was piloted by a 20-year-old trainee pilot and he survived with slight injuries. He earlier contacted the Airport air traffic controller stating that he had encountered engine problem. Old pilot saying: "A good landing is any landing you can walk away from. A great landing is one where you can reuse the airplane." http://i.imgur.com/qtSErQT.jpg

Hands down The Best
Sgt R Lee Ermey replied to AtomicFrawg's topic in British Aerospace Jetstream 32
Yeah the JS32 I think is one I want to buy on my list. So much to learn so little time. -
I as thinking maybe to add a LOT of trees near the airport area to help how it looks. No trees does not look good. But as you get higher the less trees you need around the airport. It is just the low altitude areas. Problem is when you view it at an angle that is where it looks like crap. So it just needs some sort of low level models for a thick bush. I know trees take up processing time so you want to make them simple models. But if we could make some sort of thicker bush that is half the height of the big trees to fill in the bottoms like a "skirt" it would give the impression of undergrowth. Maybe make it with a roof as well.
-
So nice and sharp.. after looking at it though I can see its maxed out X10's potential. Its such a shame there really is no real way to fill in trees nicely. It always looks like crap if you put the trees on top of a tree when you look at it from certain angles. It just doesn't fill right. They need a tree "facade" feature maybe to make thick brush.

FYI this was not directed at any one person. I'm just saying a lot of people who are confident in their product are willing to let people try it. I try to research as much as I can when it comes to this stuff. I'm ready to give a couple a try as soon as I assemble my new computer and the 64bit version is complete.. and vendors are caught up.

Oooh banned. Useful answer though. Maybe he if wasn't so pompous on that other thread he'd be around to accept my thanks heh. -
Personally I think developers unwilling to allow "try before you buy" as shady and not confident in their product. They'll gladly take your money even if people are unhappy about the quality or didn't get what they expected. If I did good work I'd offer it up gladly for people to try, although in a limited fashion so they have to buy it if they like it. Demos worked until the file sizes started getting a little absurd. But I still use them to this day. I tried a couple on my ps3 before I wanted to decide to fork out $60 for a game.
-
Yeah there is. A demo is a snippet or snapshot or trial of a product. DRM is a method that requires the internet all the time for you to use their product. It opens the door for many many bad things to happen. Anything that requires a user account to log into to use a piece of software that I 'buy' it complete and utter bullshit. Unless it is a purely online game you should not have to give away any personal information about you or your computer. Example I purchased Silent Hunter 5, I went on vacation for 2 weeks camping but I brought my laptop. On a rainy day we were stuck inside the camper and I wanted to play it. I couldn't because I needed an internet connection. What kind of bullshit is that? Over the years I've tried demos and purchased games right away after that. That method WORKS. I've spend thousands of dollars from the commodore 64 onward on games. If I'm undecided I try the demo first.
-
I second this. I'm a huge advocate of try before you buy. Sometimes you buy something and realize its just not for you and there you've blown the money you earmarked for the month and its wasted. Mind you if some planes were $5-10 I'd think differently but most are $30+

Not familiar with PA peters can you clarify? I just need the author and plane that is compatible or website so I can check. I want to have a nice list here with a link to each manufacturer even freely distributed ones that are compatible. Makes a quick and easy reference for us to go to shop once 10.20 is out. -
Anyone know of any purchased planes that we know for sure that is fully functional with the latest beta (soon to be 10.20)? I'll add the list here as we find out which ones are ready 64 bit compatible aircraft. -- X-Aviation - http://www.x-aviation.com/catalog Jetstream 32 (I'm buying this one it looks awesome) Mentor SeaMax Blackshape Prime Cessna 152 Duchess Sundowner CRJ (SOON) Aerosoft/McPhat Studios - http://www.mcphatstudios.net/ ATR72-500 EADT - http://www.eadt.eu/i...t-for-x-plane-9 Freeware x737 project Benedikt Stratmann and Pierre Stone Peters Aircraft http://www.petersaircraft.com/ A380 is now 64 bit. The tighter the grip the more that slips through the cracks... Starting to see the trend move towards better places and the morons running the place over there will be left twiddling their dicks by themselves.

Thanks, looks like this isn't going to be easy... rarely is!

Well nothing I do seems to get the colors right. I've tried every combination. I give up on this area its just poor photography. I think they did it during a hazy day or something. Not to mention its different sources so the whole area I want to cover is mixed all in. I do have a question though - if you slice up orthophotos in half will they lose their geocoding? I want to do at least some detailed photos for the airport area. Also for exclusions, you should select "objects" if you don't want autogen right?
