HEY! FSXP is excited to announce that we'll be starting a new project, slated for release in 2014! Hiroshi, the modeller of our 787 and 767 exteriors has created another family of planes and wants the planes to be available in x-plane too! The series is being dubbed the 737NG Basic, and will be built over the next six months. No comment yet on whether a 3d cockpit or cabin will be added. The Basic dub means that it won't feature a lot of advanced tech like plugin control or 3d cockpit, it's designed more for simple flying and nice visuals. The project will also feature full livery compatability forward and backwards, meaning any textures from FSX for this plane can be directly copied in to the .png format and vice versa. The project will be developed alongside the 787 and will share the same animation techniques used on the 787. The project is expected to contain between 30 and 40 planes, ranging from the 600 to the MAX series jets. Other features for the planes will include: -Three types of winglets -eyebrows or no eyebrows -air stairs -ground services, including refueling trucks, GPU and a push back -quality 3d models -accurate flight model (no plugin control though) -2d panel (no comment on 3d panel)

All the exterior work is done! Now the plane is only going to have cockpit work done. I probably won't post much here because I can't take screens demonstrating a cockpit XD

Today's flight! Tightened up the wingflex a bit, to make the wings less bendy when the plane's nose goes up. Exterior is officially 100% done! all the bugs and errors have been ironed out!

on release, this'll be the first plane you can download, ANA international Config #1

K, so I've decided to make this announcement because I think things are under control now. Over a year ago, when I first started this project, I had no idea it would last this long, nor did I know that it would end up where it has at this point. Looking back, this plane has made progress in leaps and bounds that even I'm surprised I pulled off. As I type, the computer which I'm on is rendering out UV maps for the last portion of this plane. Once that is done, the plane's model design phase will be officially finished and that means that work on the cockpit systems will begin formally. With that in mind, I can comfortably tell you all that the planned release date of this plane has now been set to April of 2014, at which point the first 787, which will be the ANA Long haul configuration, will be released. Following that, there will be a few weeks before the ANA short haul configuration is released. I'm very excited, and I know that you have all waited a very long time for this information. Please bear with me as we approach the end of this project. April 2014. ~Michael Chang~

yeah, and each plane will have it's own interior, it'll be like 40+ download options because each airline has different seats and different window configs

my Dad's computer is a lot stronger than my old Mac, so i took the plane out and pumped up the settings! she looks great, doesn't she?

Each livery will be painted as the real airline reveals their official colors and interiors. as I've highlighted before, the project will be one paint per plane, with a custom interior specific to the airline. and yes, there will be jetstar.

The Chilean 787 has arrived!

Sharpening up all the text on the overhead, I think you can tell where the changes have been made and how much better it is This was based on the technique Ramzzess used on his IL-98. 777 and 757, but organized in a different way. Despite the larger text, this technique actually saves huge ammounts of space

looks like this plane uses both GE or PW, and it's a BL model, i'll run it by Elanport and see if he can do something

There's no plane I enjoy more than my 787, even though it isn't finished, it has a fluid-like nature to its animations that I just can't find in any other jet. If I had to pick a different top favourite set, the Sukhoi superjet (slightly corrected and re-animated) would be the only plane that makes the list...

The livery is no longer compatible with the 787 since there was a modification to the texture mapping, so it doesn't exist :/ a new one will be painted

I flew my 787 once again! Benedikt is doing an incredible job painting for this project

I'm 99% done with x-plane. I'm so sick and tired of listening to the insults being traded in x-pilot.com but I'm forced to remain there because it is my only large download hosting outlet with a multi-thousand member following. I swear to god there are times when I wish I hadn't ever discovered x-plane and I'm so close to leaving.
