  1. Hi John, I'm enjoying the new add immensely! Two questions--- when I've tried to go to manual weather, even with draw distance and visibility in XP at 100, the apparent visibility seems limited (I can't see the world textures at high altitude in CAVU conditions). Is there an inherent vis limiter with your weather engine? Also...I've seen the NOAA plug in page--but can't for the life of me figure out how/what to download from Python or the installers---it's not really obvious. Could you (when you have the time), give a quick, "download this from this page, etc." written tutorial! I'd be much obliged, as this and other Python plugins look great, but I'm stymied trying to understand what to do for a Win-7 64-bit install. Thanks! Bill KSGP
  2. Cameron, I put the video in full screen mode, then after landing, went to push some buttons and clean things up, forgetting I wasn't in the sim!! LOL You've really nailed the sounds wonderfully. Now if we could get you guys to do this treatment with an L-188 Electra I'd likely lose all control!! Thanks again Bill KGSP
  3. Bingo! Once to disable, then again to silence! Easy...thanks! Bill
  4. Hi guys, Still really enjoying the Saab! Two notes--I've tried to find info on how to quiet the auto-pilot OFF alarm...I disarm AP and the alarm just rings and rings...must be somewhere in the docs, but I haven't found it. Also, like an earlier pilot, I noticed the Cargo variant door won't open--but makes nice sounds like it wants to! Thanks Bill KGSP
  5. Hi team, A few more flights today. Flew the tutorial flight...loaded at 1.8G memory at KBOS, and was a 3.6G turning to intercept the ILS at JFK...which was, by that time, mostly a slide show. So, on my rig, something definitely is going on with memory loading. I tested another aircraft and had it at a KBOS gate for an hour with 1.7G mem load...no change. I loaded the Saab, and didn't touch a thing for an hour...just let her sit at the gate. Loaded at about 1.8G, was at 2.6G after an hour. Just more data/context for you. Thanks! Bill
  6. Hi Cameron....thanks for your note! I need to make a bunch of key assignments for the autopilot and I think I'll be fine--spent too much time looking at the pedestal. I'll keep an eye on the memory usage. I thought I recalled a couple of other folks commenting on this, but could not find their comments to post to. Love the plane! The sound system just rocks! Bill
  7. Thanks Ben. I hand-flew a couple of flights today with no "send to desktop" issues. I also flew a short hop with the autopilot functioning, and it seemed to work fine. Now I have to try to learn how the autopilot functions properly I did notice, however, that my Task Manager memory tracking showed about 1.7G in use when the Saab initially loaded, then about 2.8G after 30 minutes, and 4.1G after an hour--by which time the simulator was stuttering badly. Is this a "memory leak"? My other payware aircraft, including the MU-2, load in at about 1.7G and stay there no matter how long I fly. Just thought I'd bring that to your attention. I flew another flight after a system re-boot, and the Saab loaded in at 1.8G again, and 30 minutes later, was at 2.5 again--so memory loading appears cumulative. Flying with an i7, Win7 and GT660 Bill
  8. Thanks Jim. I've had a couple of crash to desktop when I didn't think I had CTOT in use...but I may have flipped that switch on the overhead panel....the one "long" (15 minute) flight I had was pure manual flying...no CTOT and no autopilot. I'll try another hand flown flight and see how long I can go Bill
  9. Here is a similar error. I'm not having much luck completing even short flights--get a drop out of X-Plane without warning nearly every flight. Will be patient, though....she's a lovely bird Bill
  10. Hi all, I'm enjoying the Saab very much, but am having a problem with general stability. Three times, on relatively short flights, I've tried to engage the autopilot (twice) or did nothing that I can tell (once), which led to the sim having a quick pause (no sound), then sound came back on, then X-Plane just exited (creating a crash *.rpt file). I've had one 20 minute flight with no problems, and I've gone through both auto start and full checklist starts (on the ground for some time), with no crashes. I do have World Traffic and will try to remove it as I do more testing on this. Let me know what documents, other than the rpt file you might need. Thanks Bill KGSP Data.zip
  11. Hi This, and the other 767's are wonderful, thanks! I can't find the instructions in the manuals to open doors or to use "sliders" for the freight, etc? What/where are the sliders, how do I set them, etc? I'd love to access the doors, etc. Thanks Bill
  12. Hi Goran and team, Just flew the DC-3 for the first time this week..love it. But, the ADF issue appears to still be problematic. Did the most recent download have this fix, or are there workarounds? Also, I assume no ILS approaches are possible? As such, makes the lack of ADF super problematic Thanks Bill
