  1. I too just ran into icing problems with version 1.1. I checked the icing data ( just before I crashed ) and the right aoa and right wing had a value of .632. All others were 0.0. All de-icing was on and at max. I was landing through clouds and snowing at the time , but strange that only the right side had ice?? FYI, just in case you thought it was fixed.
  2. I'm so envious , you get to fly into CZST with that awesome Beaver and we have to wait until March, sigh ;(. It's like waiting for Christmas all over again.
  3. OMG, that was brilliant. Truly hilarious. I only recognize some of the names referred to but enough that I got the point. Well done , whoever did it.

    [SOLVED] CTOT

CTOT perfectly works as stated for me, I set the rotary dial for 110% and set the arm switches. When I reach 70% or so CTOT takes over. Do you have ANY lights on the overhead panel during take-off? You shouldn't.
  5. I cannot remember which aircraft it is but one of the pay ware aircraft do have droplets of rain that move horizontally across the side windows and up the main window as you increase speed.
  6. Strange, I see your oil temps are around 7. Mine were just below 5 when I closed the flaps and were just above 5 when the left, as always, failed. Looks like I'll have to do some more experimenting. I also just noticed that your RPMs are at the top of the range. If I leave mine there , engine failure in a few minutes for sure. hmmm?? Thanks
  7. The Oil Temp seems to be very sensitive also. Just to see what happens if the oil cooler flaps were shut , I shut them when at cruising alt. and watched the temp very carefully. within <1min the temp started rising very slowly, I immediately reached to the switch to open it and the LEFT engine , again, failed. I had to limp to my destination on one engine. I never closed the cooler flaps before and from what happened I will only use open or auto , unless I want to experience another engine failure.
  8. Hi all, I have experienced the same , always the left engine failure too. But, as stated in the info on release 1.03 keep the RPMs less then 100% and my problem , so far, has not come back. So, I just reduce the RPMs to <100% and so far so good. Along with the EGT <650 degs. and the oil temp and the de-iced and so and so.
  9. Just downloaded 1.03 and the weather is the same out all the windows. Thank-You
  10. Thank you so much. I knew you would .
  11. Hi, me again. I have attached a video of another flight that may better show the different weather conditions as seen from the various cockpit windows of the Jetstream32. I don't know if you have experienced this yourself and will be working to correct it or if possibly you have not seen it. It only appears when there is 'frost' on the side or centre window. However, even if there is only a hint of frost as seen in the video the clouds do not get drawn. Thanks Jetstream32_1.mov
  12. Thanks for the info. I like it more than I don't like it. So, I won't be removing 'ice' altogether. It just didn't make sense to me to see the ground at night at 14,000 ft below lit up when I turned on the light in the cockpit. Hopefully , down the road , I'm sure it will improve. Still think your aircraft are the best though.
  13. In image 3 of 5 you can see the ground below on the left and it is an overcast day as you can see from the 'chase view' and very little icing on the window. Why not just do it as if there were no 'icing' on the side windows i.e. draw what is out there and put a transulcent iced window image over the actual? rather then a ground image on an overcast day???
  14. I really like the plane , but this doesn't look like reflections with iced up windows to me, sorry. What's your explanation for the daylight ground at night with the Flood lights on in the cockpit? Where are the ground reflections coming from?
  15. I haven't noticed this before but just did a flight with light snow and sun setting and the view out the pilot and copilot windows was what I expected it to be but the view in the centre and both side windows on each side was different weather. The outside ( chase view ) was correct also. Pictures attached. Also, when it got dark before I landed. I turned on the flood lights and the view out the side windows was like daylight, whereas the view out the pilot and copilot was dark?? I have attached screen shots. I am really liking this aircraft though. It has a bit of a learning curve to feel comfortable flying it, but I am getting there. Mac 10.8.2 3.4GHz Core i7 32 GB RAM and 2Gb video RAM Xplane 10.11r3
  16. I checked the trim and could not repeat it, but I am suspecting it may have been a wrong function set to one of the buttons on my Saitek X52 controller. I changed a couple of suspect ones and it restarts okay now. Sorry for the bother but thanks for your time. Great plane BTW. A couple of suggestions now that i'm here. -Would it be possible to have both com frequencies actually work. Both at the same time would be great but maybe Xplane doesn't support that. Com 2 doesn't actually receive any audio. A selector switch to 'switch' between both would be nice. -Also, a selector to be able to tune in the audio channel on a NDB or VOR would also be a good feature to have. Thanks again
  17. It's okay now. I started the sim again to see what was working and what wasn't and I noticed the elevator trim was all the way full up. ( At this point none of the controls worked ) so I tried to see if the trim was working and it was. so I trimmed it back to centre and now all the controls work i.e. ailerons, rudder and elevator. I'll go back to the sim and see if I can seize it again by having the elevator trim set to max up. I'll let you know. Thanks
  18. Hi and thanks I didn't delete any files that I am aware of. I completely reinstalled the aircraft after deleting the original one that did work using the installer that came with it. It was installed in the xplane root folder. I am using XP10 on a MacPro. The aircraft comes up fine engines running and I can change liveries okay. Gizmo is running. I did reboot it from the tab on the right hand side but it didn't change anything. The strange thing is that I tried a few other aircraft and they all work fine. I have not reloaded XPlane yet but I'm guessing that's my next task.
  19. For some reason I cannot get any of the flight controls to work on the DC-3. ALL other aircraft that I have tried work fine. They were working okay but no longer do. I uninstalled and reinstalled the complete DC-3 and still the same. I reset all system faults to normal and re-calibrated the joystick function but no improvement. Any suggestions would be appreciated Thanks
